Just empty promises... same old story... Nothing more has happend. if we was to trust his word - refund would be done by now... and it´s not.
For info, Art has refund my friend the complete amount. Again - so nice to know there are good guys like Ricky out there! Thanks!
Success! Great to hear this. Looking forward to the upcoming threads on people DIY'ing their EAG conversion kits.
just to be clear, i had NOTHING to do with the money being sent back. I did not ever advise or even suggest to Art that he should send the money back, he had already started the reimbursements before i started talking to him. All i did was check in with him and provide updates. Glad everyone here is all even.
Here is an update on this conversion, discussing cost for F430 as well: Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Now the website no longer lists prices for conversions... Is says inquire for a quote... not a good sign... for me anyway.
Normal guy supercar is selling his kits. https://www.normalguysupercar.com/product/european-auto-group-ferrari-f430-360-manual-conversion-kit/
Same. Roughly half of a decent 360. It may be more worth it to the F430 guys since they have a much smaller pool of factory cars to pick from. Parts only for less than $10k and I would definitely be in but may have to wait for economies of scale to kick in for that to happen.
When demand greatly exceeds supply price cant stay constant. If 8k deters you from making the switch sobeit. If the secondary market prices them even higher then thats a risk everyone takes by waiting.
This particular sale is evidence that the kits were priced too low...this is an 85k car in original f1 form, maybe. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-ferrari-f430-18/
I had mine converted a few months back and have simply loved it. I have a possible investment opportunity just come up and am considering putting it up for sale but not sure. If I do, doubt I'll recoup all I have in it but I've enjoyed it. We shall see.
