I've been having serious air-conditioning issues with my GTO from the day I took delivery. The system is just not up to the mark to keep the interior cool, even at night. Settings I use - full auto, 18C, recycle. The system starts up fine but the air flow quickly winds down to barely perceptible, even when the outside temperature is 36C. The temperature of the air coming out of the vents feels fine. The cold air appears to be leaking out at a greater rate than added. Thus the heat. Tests by the local dealer show all parameters to be "normal". It's now over a year and Ferrari haven't come up with a solution. I wonder if anyone else has faced similar issues with this car. Surely I can't be the only one, I hope !!! I look forward to your suggestions.
Don't own a GTO... but it sounds like the evaporator is freezing up (which would explain the reduced airflow). I have had this issue in various A/C systems (car and house) in humid locations. Switching off the A/C but leaving the fan running usually clears it and then running at a modest rate rather than full cold... Just a thought...
Bro, you have a GTO in the UAE/Middle East too? Would Ital Motos or the Ferrari Spa help? I did have this issue but in my PI Toyota and the air cond was weak! Or maybe ask the other GTO owners in the region if they have his issue, Hope you solve it soon
If you are still having issues with the air con, try contacting the OP of this thread below, as he complained about his air con when he sent his FF for first service and is now happy with the changes made. It may be worth contacting direct and explaining your problem to him as it could be the same issue. Worth a try anyway. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ff-f12/395196-ff-first-service.html
