I have inadvertently disabled this radio and able unable to enable it. Any suggestions?
Is the radio asking you to input a code? If so you might have the code card mixed in with the car’s manuals. If it is a code issue and you don’t have the code card, you will probably need the serial number of the radio. There are sites on the internet that supposedly can provide a code for a fee. You can also call Becker, they repair Ferrari radios https://www.beckerautosound.com/ If this is not a code issue, try Becker for advice. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
I will contact Becker, per your suggestion. Sadly, no owners’ manuals exist in paper or online for these 2007 599 era AM-FM radio/CD player/iPod player/nav/telephone units and many of these features have been eclipsed by technology. Thanks, Bob.
Now I can't recall exactly what your radio is - possibly Becker 6111 0r 6112 - but that era manual is often for sale on Ebay and has been readily downloadable eg https://www.manualslib.com/download/628599/Ferrari-Infotainment-6111.html - alternatively take a look in the 599 section at Becker related threads - chances are there's a link to the manual download as well as other advice - in fact I think I might be able to email it you once you've identified the model - as noted in #2 it is unclear if your query relates to the code or something else - in fact do you have any manuals at all for your car ?
I have a Ferrari card which identifies my radio as 64562. I also have a Ferrari Warranty brochure which refers to my radio as either S(or 5) 0 (or O) 11 (or 77) 0 (or O) 63. These illegible entries were made by a sales person at a Chicago area dealership, which I will contact tomorrow for clarification. I have no user's manual for this unit, which includes AM/FM radio, iPod player, CD player, navigation and telephone features.
Did you look at the download to see if it resembles your Becker ? Also is the 64562 handwritten or on a card saying Becker ? Can you post a picture ? Chances are the writer is no longer there - I guess just maybe they might have records of the codes from when car was new
Interestingly, this sales person is still listed (as of today) on the dealership's website as being with them, so I have emailed him this warranty brochure entry he made in 2007 (attached here) and have asked him to explain this radio serial/id number to me; I will follow-up with him by phone tomorrow on this. No where in any of the materials I have is the brand name of this radio unit identified as Becker (or anything else). I will also give him this Radio number (also attached here) and ask him to confirm this manufacturer as well as where I can get a manual or other user information. The code is definitely the radio code but it is still unclear if that is the issue mentioned in post #1 - did the radio ask for the code ? if so that's the one it wants You should keep the card at home along with the warranty etc card not with the key - it should not be needed 5011063 looks like the radio serial number written in European
In going through the manual download you provided me, I think I've solved my problem...time (1 hour) will tell. On page 13, the anti-theft feature is explained, which is what I apparently and unknowingly triggered into the disabled position. I must now wait one hour with the ignition on while this internal clock runs out and then, enter the 5 digit code contained on the code number entry menu from the card I have, one digit at a time. According to the manual, once I have entered all 5 digits of this code number correctly, the Infotainment turns on automatically and all functions become operational. I will let you know. Thanks very much for this download link.
Yes, I was able to activate this system using the 5 digits on the card I have. I have printed this 183-page manual and I'm now good to go. Thanks again for your help.
