Hello, could someone here confirm if the 599 has timing chain or belt?

Does the chain have any replacement intervals/life cycle?

    Thank you

So far, the only thing I've had to do to mine is to support her drinking habit!

599s have proven to be pretty strong. And yes, if driven with vigor you might see something like 6-8 MPG. Driven gingerly on the highway you might see 18 or so. My average is around 11 :)

599 engine is a development of the Enzo engine with some production mods and both have chain driven cams. The Enzo was the first Ferrari production V12 with variable valve timing, carried over to the 599. Both are F140 family engines, and the 599's F140C engine was updated with steel connecting rods and Motronic 7.3.2 injection/ignition systems.
