Hi All, posting my lovely 575M here in hopes of finding a good home for it. This Ferrari 575 Maranello painted in the rare Verde Zeltweg (Metallic Green) SN 46072 (VIN:ZFFBV55A620129051) is a 41K mile US/California spec car I purchased in mid-2022. This car received an OEM parts 6-Speed manual conversion by Exoticars USA (Wil De Groot’s company) prior to my ownership. I’m a very passionate maintainer with an open checkbook approach to maintenance. I would not hesitate to drive across the country and currently have all the major items up to date. This is a great looking soon-to-be-classic Ferrari you can trust to get you where you want to go. Some History: I bought it out of the east coast sight unseen during the pandemic. Full disclosure. There are two “stories” on this car. First, Carfax showed some kind of “unconfirmed” damage. I had the car inspected and there was no visible damage to the car indicated but it’s there on Carfax and nothing I can do about that. The other is that during the conversion the body computer converted the miles into kilometers which was resolved by switching back to miles however, not before smog and registration which is now flagged by Carfax as a odometer rollback. What occurred is documented by Exoticars USA with a statement of fact is signed by the shop owner. I believe the asking price is fair considering these irregularities. Body Condition When I received the car it was in good condition but needed a few things. Mostly on the rear around the tail tights, front lower bumper lip and a scratch on the trunk. I turned the car over to Premier Motorsports in Carson, CA and the car was returned in stunning condition. After the work was completed, I had the main “rock-chip prone” areas of the car wrapped by Ultimate shield in Orange including PPF on the windshield. This significant investment turns heads at all the car shows and on the road. Mods: As mentioned earlier, the car was modified into a manual transmission by Exoticars USA. This endeavor was documented by a Forza Magazine article. The work included all Genuine Ferrari Parts including OEM manual ECUs. Probably difficult to obtain all OEM today. Receipts going back to 2011 are included and are available to serious buyers. A Tubi exhaust has been installed. An upgrade also added was the Scud Ing Swiss LED taillights and blinkers. These are good and bright with an updated blinker sound you can now hear, verses driving down the road with the blinker on for 20 miles. Interior Condition: I had the leather dash and the rear shelf matched and replaced. The car smells lovely and looks great. All buttons and switches are “sticky-less” and all work like stock. I’ve replaced a few switches and the AC control board. The AC control plastic panel was redeveloped, 3D printed with stronger nylon-like material, painted and laser scribed. The OEM control panel is included in the sale. These control panels are a known breakage point on these cars and the new part is much more durable. Mechanical Condition: The Mechanical parts have been thoroughly gone through by Randy at RMT in Yorba Linda with all the normal 575 hit points repaired. A non-exhaustive list of items: · Engine cam Belts and bearings · New Clutch, throw-out bearing/slave cylinder <250 miles ago · Gas tank seals and rollover valves replaced · Coolant lines replaced · Entirely new front suspension and struts · New Michelin Pilot tires in 2022 · Many more records included with sale Summary This car looks and drives very well and needs nothing that I’m aware of. Rowing the gears with the engine at revs really pulls smoothly. Ready to drive at a moments notice. An new car allocation is coming in soon and this car will need to find a new home to make room. I’ve been very good to this Ferrari and some people may say I over invested in maintaining and restoring this car to an almost like new condition. I don’t believe them and have enjoyed every minute of driving ownership. Easily passed California smog, clear title in hand, Three keys (two blacks one red), manuals, toolkit, spare tire and a few misc. parts. Ready to be driven. $205K obo -K Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice. Note there are no struts on a 575M. Assume you changed out the front shocks. Wil knows what he is doing on a 3 pedal conversion.
Thanks for the correction! Yes, the car shifts and drives as it should, Wil and Randy here in Cali did a great job getting it perfect. I guess sometimes between me and the last owner we've put in combined ~130K+ so it's in great shape. If I kept it longer I'd put modulars on it and I think that would make a cool look.
Several of us have seen this car in person at a local 456/550/575 event. @Il Tifoso @losgatos789 @stevepaa I’d be lying if I said this car didn’t make me jealous. Wish I had the room. GLWTS!
This is gorgeous and worth EVERY PENNY. My OEM manual/FHP conversion 575 is just otherworldly good, and I’m sure this one is no exception…and that color, my lord, that color!!! If I didn’t have mine, I’d be one my way. Nothing like it in this price range. Wonder what my wife would say about having two…?? PS: the Forza article about this car was a big part of my inspiration to go for the OEM conversion.
I remember mid pandemic staring at the Forza article and receiving an email from Wil De Groot about beginning the job on the 599. It was the beginning of a lot of fun, a tremendous gated machine(s), and incredible reverence for the quality of work/expertise/technical prowess from Tom, Wil, Mike and the rest of team at Exoticars. Their OEM V12 conversions are as good as it gets IMO.
My goodness what a fabulous looking example! I love Ferraris in ‘not red’ and this is spectacular. If I were in the US I’d be sorely tempted. Very best of luck with the sale. regards to all. Mark
Thanks for all the wonderful comments! It's a great community and I just found a photo from a few years ago in Los Gatos while meeting up for an Alice's run. The car almost looks black at night or on cloudy days. With @Il Tifoso @losgatos789 @stevepaa and of course @Ferrari55whoa When I find a video of the drive I'll post it! @LorenzoOO, nice to see you here. Regarding the price, I've put it here so a Ferrari enthusiast buys and it takes care of it. Not in a hurry and looking to find it a good home.
That was a fun run! Sorry to see you’re selling Kevin, but whoever ends up with this beauty will be very happy indeed! GLWS!
@Il Tifoso I'll have something different soon and will be up from the OC for car week. We should all go for an Alice's run again!
A quick update: the car threw an engine code while on a group drive recently. Seems like one of the O2 sensors was acting up and I had my mechanic service it changing the O2 sensor in question. He thought the others were fine. Never would have noticed since the car has been running really well. Open checkbook plan as always!
Hi All, I've put the car in line for a BaT auction during car week. Mohr's will be listing it as I'm occupied with other projects and they have already taken some great photos. See the preview here: https://www.mohrimports.com/for-sale/ferrari/2002-ferrari-575m-maranello/1591.html
SEXY edit….im frankly surprised one of our fchat brethren hasn’t bought it. Your ask is reasonable and it’s a great car with a strong investment in it. My regret is not taking a ride with you on one of our outings up here.
@Ferrari55whoa It will be great for the new owner, I'll be on a run with you with something else V12 soon...
