Looking for a 550 Maranello. I’m based in Texas but can buy the car anywhere. Black, Blue, Grey, etc. really anything but Red/Yellow. Want to avoid buying a car that needs a ton of work and want to have interior clean and well maintained (no sticky buttons or warped dash). Can move immediately upon PPI, all cash etc. Plan to own and drive the car and put good love into it! Thanks all Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

Hi did you get the response I sent you? It had allot of information and a few pictures, I don't see it when I look at this thread? I have an absolutely beautiful Maranello 550 that needs no work whatsoever. It's really is more of a collector car then something to drive everyday. Let me know if you got the email or have any interest. Thanks Rob
Couple interior pictures. I guess I should ask if you are even still looking? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some dude is selling one for 300,000. Its here on the cars thread..lol. Wait 6 months and you can most likely get it for 150,000..Its highly unlikely someone is dumb enough to pay the asking price. The bottom will be falling out soon enough when it comes to used Ferraris... Big G
Its thats going to happen with all used cars, if fact its already starting. The greed when it comes to used Ferrari prices is so insane, that the only way for this to go is down. Prices will be coming down a lot, just wait and see. G
Interesting. Gino, do you feel the same way about all collectible assets? Watches, artwork, stamps, coins, etc? Or specifically Ferraris?
Thanks all. I bought a great black in tan 1999 550 with Daytona seats and black carpet. Found it via a DM here so thanks to everyone who reached out. It’s headed to Ferrari of Austin and I’m going to bring it up to 100% and will post some pics when it’s in hand. Thanks to all and keep this thread going of awesome ppl selling 550’s! Found a few amazing cars but wanted the Black and Tan to match the rest of my garage. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Wondering why you would send it to a Ferrari dealer when there are great independents in your area - that perhaps know these older cars better?
What would your advice be for someone in Austin or with an older car? I have only owned Ferrari for a few years now as I am still pretty young so open to all advice / input. Aside from prob being a premium in cost which I am fine with in reason, isn't a positive to send a car to a tier 1 dealer to bring it up to speed fully vs a non dealership mechanic?
I don't live in the area, but Hill Country Ferrari - Brian Crall is a notable expert resource. As for it being premium to have dealer receipts for a car of this vintage? Not in my opinion. If a particular dealer had known expert resources on staff, it may be different. My experience with a PPI request at a franchised dealer told me that they have very little expertise in the older models. I had to tell them what to do...and they still were incomplete in their work... :-( hillcountryferrari.com
Here is some pics of the car I got. Thanks to all for helping. I got it from someone on Fchat !! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Beautiful car! I'm planning on selling my 328 this year and am currently looking for a 550. Reading and researching now, but always open to advice.
I called Hill Country Ferrari to check it out. Nice guy and clearly good at what he does but decided to with with Ferrari of Austin (he also told me he was booked for months). Ferrari of Austin specializes in older cars too and the team that works on the owners private collection (one of best out there) is who handles the more classsic cars. It’s also only 250/hour which seems very reasonable for what it is. They did my 308 up incredibly well drives like a totally different car now. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
