Even though I now bought a red 550 (not by real choice, it just happened to be a good proposition for me), I believe it's not as common as for other Ferrari - I remember that at one time I had the feeling that most 550 were Grigio Titanio (my first one was Argento Nurburgring, and it was not very common).

    Hi Folks,

As far as blue is concerned, people mention Blue TdF, Blu Pozzi, Blue Sera, Blue NART, Blue LeMans.

Does anyone know how many 550s were produced in Blu Swaters Metallizzato - particularly in 1997? Thanks in advance.

edit: it may be impossible to answer, but I was hoping to know how many in numbers, not a percentage. Thanks!

@AllTweleve You are right. It is impossible (currently) to answer because the actual numbers are not known, because Ferrari has never released such granular production data. Unless and until Ferrari decides to release this info, numbers can only be inferred from percentages.

Or you can go thru the registry in Nathan’s book which is great but not totally complete and then get real close.

Don't leave out "Blue Sebring" - 503/C. Two delivered to the US in 1997 to the best of my knowledge...three in total...

This old registry (attached) shows two Blue Swaters in 1997 to (perhaps) answer your question

Blue Monaco metallic is perhaps the most rare blue. Really a beautiful color for this car. Another we have not mentioned is Azzurro California metallic or "baby blue" as many use to call this light blue. And @onno had a "Porsche Nacht Blau" very dark ble delivered from the factory in this Porsche blue. And one was blye almost a sort of solid turquise without metallics.

I don't know who would be updating the reigistry spreadsheet I provided. That comes from 2014 - something I had on file. I have not seen a newer one...

I think that one was/is actually another registry - either covering or including Euro cars...

Surely the registry in Nathan’s book is the most complete?

Curious as to why would you suggest that? He only gathered information from what was already out there. We don't know if that's complete or accurate - but it may be the best that's available today - tbd. Sadly, those who were in the know a decade ago - and either gathered or shared much of this data are no longer participating here to the best of my knowledge...
