    Hi All,

I need to replace my front pads on 512tr.

I’m based in Uk so some options will differ from USA.

Seems there are three brands available and I’m wondering if anyone has feedback or experience please?

    Brembo
    ECB yellow stuff
    Tarox

I know Brembo are original for this car but they are 3 x the price and whilst this isn’t a deal breaker, are either of the fast road others potentially better performing.

    Any other brands out there?

    Thanks!

I just replaced mine because they squeaked real bad. I went with porterfield r4s the were about 100.00 US for the front. They work great and no more squeal.

Haven’t tried that Romano so I don’t know. I’m pretty easy or light on the brakes.

for most in the US they don´t need good brakes with those little speed. but when you once will need the brakes you will see the difference - hopefully not too late

Thanks Joe, that's what I thought, Know if I could just find a set of front rotors at a reasonable price. I am being quoted over $900 each

A lot of people have recommended the porterfield pads.

I have just discovered, the hard way, that my callipers are ATE.

Which pads fit the ATE calliper. I believe part number is 70000802.

Would be grateful of some help as I need the car for a holiday in 10 days time!!

pads from a BMW or also mercedes are matching, only problem is the material is different and may be after some hard using the brakes you will have fading
but when you not go on a racetrack they are a good choice and not expensive as F parts
