    Could anyone point me in the right direction to download / purchase of the BB(i) 512 workshop manual. I have done a few web searches with little success.

    Hi,

    I do not think there is a workshop manual specific to the 512 BB or to the 512 BBi. However there is an english translation of a workshop manual by Angelo Wallace covering the three models of BB: 365 GT4 BB, 512 BB and 512 BBi. I bought a copy of this manual from Books4Cars.com in 2012. The entry for the manual is still present:

    74-84 Boxer shop service repair manual by Ferrari translated into English by Angelo Wallace covering 4.4 liter, 5-liter, carburetted 365GT4BB Berlinetta Boxer BB512 512BB BB512i 217 pages fuel injection is covered in 400i injection manual (75_Boxer_Wala)

    Anything particular you are looking for? I got the one from books4cars.com (aforementioned).

    It's a looseleaf binder with translated pages. It gives decent info and I used it for torque specs and setting the distributor at initial timing when I did a ton of mait and upgraded my diff carrier last year. Buy it for the 130ish bucks, it's got more info than nothing.

    When I work on the car I try and utilize this book, the owners manuel and the parts diagrams.

    Thank you for the 365 hint and inspiration. I managed to find this manual on fleabay (Dont' know if it is the Angelo version, but it is in english):

    # FACTORY WORKSHOP SERVICE REPAIR MANUAL FERRARI 365 GT4BB BB512 BB512i +WIRING

    It mostly covers the older and caburated models, but there is also references to the 512 BBi so it might work for now. I will trace up a manual for the 400i in order to be covered with respect to the injection system.

    Right now I am looking for the dimension of the frame. My car has taken some front impact in its previous life and I need to cross check all measurements to determine if it needs a trip to the Celette bench for frame work.

    Last thing I forgot to mention, I have asked and received great info from both Paul Newman & David Feinberg(from years past prior to him leaving). They both are Gentleman and know boxers very well.
