What country was the BBI delivered to when new for it to have a speedometer in MPH? UK?

The BBi was delivered to UK with MPH dial. Cars specifically planned to be imported to the states were also delivered from factory with a MPH dial. Lockwood in UK do replacement dials, but the wrong way around from KPH to MPH. That must mean that there is some KPH dials laying around unused at least in UK?

Suggest you call Lockwood as they can custom produce dials to order.

I wasn’t aware that the factory ever delivered a BB directly to the States.

I believe it is a matter of definition. These cars were never build specifically for the American market due to environmental issues, but as I understand it, quite a few were ordered from the States and "illegally" imported (Possibly via an European Ferrari Dealer?) . Apparently US customers could choose the dial type the wanted as could UK customers. Maybe someone with more historical insight can chime in here.

Ferrari wouldn't change a speedo to make a sale to the US, that would be up to the importer. Ive seen speedo's with overlays on them covering the original face but the odometer is still in kilometers. some show kms and miles on the face and 320 or 330 kph top speeds depending on year.
