    This has been for sale for a while. Asking price in the current FML is $43,500. It doesn't seem to have been driven much since the original owner sold it a couple of years ago. 5 speeds are rare, only 270 out of 576 412s have the manual transmission.

    So roughly half are 5 speeds? I thought there were less than that.

    That's the number for the 412 series cars. The 400i series was more heavily tipped towards the automatics: out of 1,308 400i cars, only 424 (32%) were 5 speeds. In the carbed 400 version, only 145, or 29% of the 500 cars produced were 5 speeds.
