I know color threads can be boring, but have to make a decision. all else will be the same, black interior, blue stripe on the seat, and silver calipers. TDF or corsa blue? Thoughts?
I've had both colors, and in my opinion TDF is the more traditionally beautiful of the two, but blu corsa is much more striking. Choosing between them should be easy depending on what you're going for, I'd say. (And for some, the $14k or so price difference will be enough to make their decision for them too, it's a lot of money to spend on paint.)
Corsa for sure. It just pops on the car... I love it! Here is one I saw the other day and it had black interior with a blue stripe on the seats and silver calipers. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Blu Corsa was the launch color for this car which is truly striking and really makes the spider pop! The 12K option price for this paint is worth every penny. My Blu Corsa arrives next week.
If you're committed to blue, the 488 looks great in Corsa. Saw one in person and it was truly striking.
I picked blu elettrico. Now that I have it I can tell you no other blue compares Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Stunning spec. It's nice to see people spec a bold, yet beautiful interior. Congrats! I'd love to see more photos after you take delivery!
I'm getting corsa but not sure its worth the extra $$$ unless traditional colors just don't do it for u. mine arrives in 60-75 days, modis issues permitting
The car arrived in December. Here are a few more pics. I ordered the car January 2016 at Taylor Made in Italy. Car came just in time for Christmas. It has all carbon finished in matt, carbon colored wheels, full alacantara interior, yellow calipers and yellow tach. I was a little scared to do the blue interior but it came out great. The color looks different depending on the light. Different countries different laws but im glad to be in Australia that we don't have to have those front side yellow strips and those red rear side stripes as it interferes with the beauty of the colour
Abu Dhabi is still awesome, it's rare but cheap. Take advantage while you can, in a few years time it will be transferred from the standard range to historic or special and the extra cost will be crazy.
Choosing a rarely found color is difficult, as it's hard to extrapolate from the paint samples. Photos, especially of difficult-to-capture-accurately colors like blues, can be misleading. Always best if you can view an actual car in person. I was intrigued by Blu Abu Dhabi, but was reluctant to buy a car in that color until I could see an actual car. So I ended up with Blu TdF. Although the color is not common, I was at least able to see a few cars in that color and liked it a lot. The OP should be sure to see a car in both colors before deciding, though I'll say both TdF and Blu Corsa are very nice, having personally seen examples of each. Note that like any dark colors, it's not easy to keep TdF clean-looking.
It's definitely nerve-wracking trying to select a color, never having seen it in person. I am undergoing a similar problem at present, having ordered a car that I've never seen, in a color that I've never seen. In my case, it is a new-generation Mercedes-Benz E 400 coupe, in Dune silver. I had the same problem ten years ago, when I ordered a Porsche Cayman in Cobalt Blue Metallic, never having seen the color. I loved it when the car arrived, but it looks quite different in different lighting (with a purplish cast in low light conditions). Last year, I ordered a 2017 Mercedes-AMG in Brilliant Blue Metallic, going only by pictures. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when the car arrived, the color was prettier than what I had expected. I've never seen Blu Corsa Metallizzato, but it looks great in photos. I don't envy anyone the choice among all these wonderful blues! Fred
I went with TDF, but they are all great. The Corsa was just to light and bright for me and I love the TDF now that I have it. Changes by the day and on every angle. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
