I may be showing my age, but that spec reminds me of the movie, Tron.

Never knew Ferrari offered a titanium oil cap on the Pista Spider. The titanium oil cap is limited to 99 pieces. Each cap even has a serial number. A very unique detail

No the color is closer to the new Blu Roma but with more 'blue'. Likely this is an exclusive tailor made paint color created for the client.

I love that CR painted shield/emblem... So classy and refined. So exquisite. So expensive! Almost went with it, but I would be spending 60 k on paint alone. Had to cut it short. I ended up regretting not going with it.

Yes, they really are. However I think they work better on certain models than others. For example I think they suit the 812 far better then 488/F8 due to the size and proportion of the shield on the front fenders.

The 488 gets a smaller version of the painted shield for that reason.

I agree. But I think the painted CR are still slightly larger than the actual emblems

Yes, there are two versions but Ferrari won't let you use the smaller version on a model like the 812.

I love it. I think it is a way to showcase that you got the painted (more expensive option). You know, for those who know, we drool over them and know their worth. However, somebody that doesn't know would not even recognize the relative importance or cost.

As do I. If I had my way when speccing a brand new car, I would almost certainly go painted shields or no shields at all to go more under the radar. I love the nod to their racing history.

Like I said, I regret not getting certain things I want now, amongst which, this is one of them. Live and learn.

Proportional use of the available space is very important. We have the painted shields on our Pista Spider but on the TDF, we have a normal shield due to the smaller amount of available space between the aerobridge and the door

    Matte painted shields or lighting?

The TDF has the standard gloss shields - that shot is more of a lighting thing.

We have a clear matte PPF on the Pista that covers the painted shield, which gives it a nice matte effect that’s very sympathetic to the rest of the matte paint.

The TDF has clear matte PPF too but its (carefully) cut around the shield to retain the gloss effect. That would not work with the painted shield though

This was what I was talking about. Very nice touch. Well thought out. Love the Matte effect. Love the painted emblem. Congratulations!
