Hello is anyone selling a 488 key fob that I can program to my car? It would be even better if the key wasn’t cut. let me know!
I called MAG in Columbus. They were actually very willing to program the key. They did not mind if it was the after market one or a genuine Ferrari key. I'll keep you all posted on if I am successful. Thanks Boiler for the tip on where to get a key.
Would be kind if cool if they didn’t need the car. “I’d like to program a key for a LaFerrari and I promise it’s mine”
ha! I didn't think they wouldn't need proof - Ferrari needs your DL and reg to get the key card. My closest dealer is an hour away and its such a hassle to factor that in to service.
I got the after market key from mysupercarexpert. Took about one week which is impressive. Appears identical to the original. The foot of snow on the ground right now is preventing any trip to the dealer..... probably be a few weeks until I can get there. Happy New Year to all.
Any update on this. I purchased a 488 Ferrari at auction with only a hacked key fob (it looks like a Ford key fob). I want to get a Ferrari key fob made for the car. If I purchase a key from MySuperCarExpert, provide the necessary ID, and send the hacked key fob to a dealer can they program it?
From what my local Ferrari dealer told me you can’t buy an oem used key from another car and have it reprogrammed to your car? Not sure if they can program an after market key either?
Question guys! What Excatly is is FCC ID on the keys? I see a majority of them are KR5A2C978066 but mine is KR6A2C978066 what is the difference? Do I need to match my fcc id for a spare key? thanns
