488 488 GTB Start up Beeps

Seatbelt reminder? Reverse engage?

 

Any errors flashing on the dash ?

 

Parked in neutral perhaps

 

If it was parked within range of the parking sensors then these will beep on start up. Mine has front sensors so when i start up in my garage the beeps go off. Seat belt beeps only go off after driving. A low battery will cause all types of beeps and error messages when starting up, When i return to my garage in my 488, first thing i do is attach the magnetic battery maintainer which works brilliantly.

 

I’m not sure about the three beeps after starting but as I understand it the beeps before starting are the different computers running their checks. I listen to it and think of Houston doing the final countdown before launch.
I wait until the beeps complete before starting to reduce chance for throwing codes.

 

Only other thing I can think of, which I have experienced, is a faulty parking sensor (in my 812). But, that would show a warning in your left screen.

 

Does the parking brake disengage in reverse automatically or do you have to hit the switch?
