Hi Guys, Am new here - am in process of finalizing my 488 order. I've searched about but have only spotted the odd trim pic so was hoping to start a new thread on interior selections for the 488. Any pics greatly welcomed! Cheers.
Hi Shadowfax and welcome. What exterior colors are you considering for the 488? I have Nero Daytona on my 458. Interior is charcoal and grey. It's different and I like it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for showing. Yours looks great indeed! I'm thinking black trim with some deviated red stitching and so on but haven't seen much done with the seats other than the stitching and the red horse logos on headrests. I'm planning RC for the exterior. I also quite like the black and beige but not sure how the seats will stand up over use if they are in full beige like I see most are.
Red with black interior looks great. Black interiors are easy to live with. Red/black with dark wheels and sport sill looks wild and badass.
So true, can't go wrong with black trim on a red car as it has that sporty look and wears well. That said the two tone beige/black trim also works well with RC from what I've so far seen in the flesh. I'm generally a monotone trim guy but this being my first F car wanted to mix it up a little. Mine will look much like Kingmonkeys from the outside except without the vent blade in black. Same wheels but in silver but I'm warming toward the gunmetal after seeing some of the cars here..
I went with crema but mixed it up with black ... Really pleased the way it came out, on the doors the carbon panels contrast wel with the crema , and I went with black Alcantara for the seat centres , again for the contrast , but Also should stop the bottom parking area showing marks etc as crema seats can do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow nice job Chris! That works surprisingly well with the RC. I'm doing the electric seats so not sure if that combo can be done but will ask. Keep those selections rolling in guys. Appreciate seeing what's out there. Looks like there are some amazing choices I hadn't even considered.
Choose the colour you like rather than worrying about wear or dirty marks. Unless you're a construction site labourer and will be using it to get to work and back every day, these car don't do enough miles, and certainly don't get exposed to dirt enough to allow boring practicality to influence your decision. If you want something different to the cliched resale Ferrari red with creame seats, dark metallic grey exterior goes beautifully with red seats over black carpets, black or grey metallic exterior goes perfectly with creame seats over black carpets IMHO. A full black interior never looks inviting and grey leather always looks like a 1990's Lexus to me and that isn't meant in a positive way.
Thanks surveyor - I do get you - just love to see what F car buyers are choosing before I finally commit on the trim selection. Nothing quite like seeing the interior choices owners have actually chosen. I've got what I think is a relatively good list going but any pics and feedback on options always appreciated. F car is new to me and red is pushing the right buttons at the moment. Also I do have other P cars (grey and black) so wanted something different. I also plan using it.
I've a Metallic Black Aston Martin Vantage with a dark grey interior. Beautiful car and beautifully made, it's just the colour combination isn't very 'exciting' and is verging on the 'dull'. The 488 is already years ahead in excitement terms generally but a good colour combination will take it to warp-drive so have fun with the colours. Too many people buy cars with a view to future value, effectively specifying the car for the next owner which makes buying new pointless. Take your time Shadowfax and try and see as many in the flesh as possible. Good luck and exciting times
Thanks Surveyor I'm in a similar boat with what I have now. This Ferrari is an emotional car.....got to get it as right as possible.
I also have spent countless hours online looking at a multitude of color combinations. If you have not done that, I would suggest you do. I also play around with the online configurator, but the colors are not very realistic. Still, it gives you a feel. Lastly, my local dealer gives me a heads-up everytime new 488's are delivered so I can go see the options in the flesh. I'm actually glad that I won't get an order allocation until later this year because it has allowed me to settle on my colors and options.
Like many things in life you have to enjoy the process not just the outcome. At least the anticipation you're building will lead to a zen-like euphoria by EOY. All the best!

Nero with white for me. Thick stitching has almost a light purple hue to it in bright sunlight. It's really striking. I had Nero and red on my previous Rosso 458 and I think the white is much better.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow! Lots of creativity from all of you. I feel sort of embarrassed with these Image Unavailable, Please Login
There were some seriously challenged interiors above! Love the yellow car, and the black with white stick are awesome. Two tones and colored wheels...omg.
