    I'm wondering if anyone knows the ground clearance measurements for the front end of a 488 with the regular factory setup. My Porsche 718 Cayman S with PASM (10 mm lower height than the standard model) just barely clears a massive bump that's on the only real highway exit near my house. My other Porsche (718 Boxster) without PASM has no issues.

    Am planning on acquiring a 488 Spider this summer and am trying to figure out if I really need the lifter. A lot of 458s/488s without the lifter seem to have scrapes underneath the chin, so just trying to compare the ride height of a 488 with my 718s...

    Any help would be great!

    Just got my 488. I only looked at cars with lifts. Peace of mind (looks like you’re in the Bay) you’ll need it regardless if you can manage the one bump by your house. Too many areas with speed bumps and steep entrances etc. unless you plan to only drive on routes you know, to locations you know that won’t ever require it (and hope there’s never a detour set up that takes you who knows where). My 981 gts scraped many places (unavoidable and no lift a available) the 488 is better (more like a 911) but I still recommend the lift. Good luck.

    Yes get one with lift. The nose is quite long compared to 718.

    Thanks folks, that's very helpful. And yes, I'm in the SF Bay Area, with some truly terrible roads and giant speed bumps. I will limit my search to 488s with the lifter...
