    Hi guys

Can you please share the torque needed on the center lock nut of 458 Challenge?
Also what’s the size of the wrench would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I can look up the spec for the 458GT3 when I get home. I assume it’s the same. I got the socket from one of the dealer teams.

Ferrari wants the wheel nut torque be applied with the vehicle lifted and with someone inside the car to keep the brake pedal pressed. The fastening torque is 550 Nm. Socket size is 80mm.

Very important that the hub and center lock nut be properly lubed…..toque is wet torque.

Six is what I have. Paoli makes them. B.28.0037 is the part number. It's listed for the F430 Challenge.

    Hi guys

Give me a hand, here you are a screenshot of GT3 manual, as you can see it states 1000Nm instead of the 550 you mentioning in this post.

    Any ideas? Difference is massive.

    Confirmed with a racing team.

850Nm is the torque for challenge nut, both 458 and 488.

458 CHP is 550 Nm from Ferrari training manual,
Please use Molykote 1000 (copper grease) on the thread and on
the conic surface of nut-rim coupling, as for the 430 Challenge.

Agreed, if you don’t grease the cone, the nut can catastrophically get sized to the wheel and ultra mega force with specific equipment will be required to remove it again.
