I know the 20/21 vs 21/22 discussion has happened before, but these are the two setup options that I'm looking at... and I just can't decide. I know some people say that 22 is too big in the rear, but I think it depends on the wheel (and I'm not planning on tracking the car). Below are links to the wheels on two other 458s:

    22/21 IMHO doesn't look right.

ADV1s have a several designs that are unique and positively differentiated from HRE.

I would stay far away from Adv1. They have pretty pictures and marketing that's about it.

Do a search on Google for "adv1 quality"

Unfortunately a lot of people do not know about how ****ty their wheels are.

20/21. know someone with a 21/22 on a 458 spec and it looks a bit too aggressive. It depends on the look you are going for. In addition he said the car felt a bit heavier compared to stock.

In my personal opinion, 22-inch wheels are best left to SUVs.
They're not functional nor aesthetic, because with 22" rears the gap between the brake rotors and the wheel becomes quite unsightly.

ADV1s are equal if not better than HRE - there is a lot of fighting, bad posts in the wheel world. I have multiple sets of ADV1s and have had a great experience in terms of performance, etc. - plus they have the two best sets ups for the 458 in particular - the ADV 05 MV2 SL and ADV 5.0 . 20/21 set up with 355s in the year look great.

Have you considered Brixton Forged? We work with several wheel manufacturers (ADV.1 & HRE included) and Brixton is our go-to company for custom wheels. They are very helpful in providing information and highly accurate renderings so that our customers know exactly what they're getting every time. If any one has any interest, I would be happy to talk more in-depth about custom setups via PM. Check out this before and after render example.

These 458 wheels are their CM16 Targa Series (regular concave) in 21×9.5/22×12.5 finished in 120 grit brushed tinted clear with Ferrari’s Nart stripe detailed in the center of the wheel.

There's indeed a lot of interesting info about ADV.1 and the owners previous adventure with 360 Forged wheels, the whole thing about not having an actual TÜV certified facility and not producing actual TÜV certified wheels etc. I don't know everything and I'm a bystander like most, but there's enough reading material out there to keep me far, far away form ADV.1. It's not only about whether everything is true or not, it's also about how those affiliated with ADV.1 conducted themselves on various forums.

    Just my o2 I guess.

While I'm not a fan of the P101, I'd still prefer the HRE wheel. Personally I'd go with HRE P107 20"/20" if I had to go aftermarket. I think the 22" rears make the brakes look ridiculously small. And the weight of the rim barrel being moved outward, can't help but affecting performance. For cruising sure, for actual driving? No thanks.

As you know we have done so many 458's here at the shop and countless ones across the country. No matter how you slice it, the 20/21 HRE P101 setup is just a home run for us. We have really been happy with the overall quality and end result of the car. If you do our fun fitment too lowered on Novitec Springs, we can get the Aventador's 355/25/21 on the back which just is a game changer! I have attached a few more cars we have done with 20/21 P101, P104, and P107's.

Feel free to call me directly - i would be more than happy to discuss this further with you! 877-523-6747

Thank you everyone for all your input! I went with the 20/21 HRE P101 setup in Brushed Dark Clear. And thank you Alex at TAG Motorsports for setting this up for me. I'll be posting pics in 4-6 weeks.

HRE P101, easy peezy! Not even close. The only after markets worth considering above Ferrari's offerings.

PUR wheels was founded in ~2011 a Canadian company, with wheels manufactured in US. So a very new company with no proven record.

These are the brands that everyone should be looking at
    HRE, BBS, OZ, Volks

I wouldn't put any kind of aftermarket wheel on a car, unless they have been proven in the professional racing world.

You can add Forgeline, Enkei and Advan to that list as well. Great track proven wheels.

Is your setup 245 fronts and 355s rear?

Isn't that supposed to be 255's in the front? That's what I've usually seen on these setups.

Actually all the cars we do, we run the 245/35/20 and 355/25/21 setups. That keeps the OD close to factory. The 21/22 setups use a 255/30/21 and 335/25/22 setup and that keeps the OD Ratio as close as possible to factory, but for the 20/21, we recommend the 245/355 setup. Check out our gallery by visiting TAG Motorsports - Performance Auto Parts Vista, CA and take a look at some of the builds we have done in the gallery section so you can see how perfect that fitment/setup is ;)
