    Greetings all
Posting for a friend who recently purchased a 458, forgive me as I'm translating what he wrote to me from Italian, he says when he stops accelerating & lays off the throttle there's is an abrupt stop in power, not like a gradual slowing down, he says its almost as if you hit the brakes, very abrupt, is this normal?
He recently had some work done (just translating what he wrote me now lol)
he said they changed a small piston that opens & closes a valve that works on the acceleration.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!!

I would believe he is talking about the Idle Control Valve. This valve well 2 on a 458 is a bypass valve that allows air to bypass the throttle so as to idle the engine.

Could be stuck , slow response or blocked.
