13k miles, frunk seems decently scuffed, and maybe missing the tire compressor/tool kit so this gorgeous SA seems to have been enjoyed

The way I look at it is not that the market is blown, but this was a great example for a true driver/enthusiast to pick up and drive worry free

Yep, buying these cars to stare at is not the right thing to do if you ask me. However, plenty of people have enough money to do just that. I would note though that the car is still selling for way over MSRP after 5 years of enjoyment. So the original owner did well on this car.

Yeah I saw this listing, they are on their way "downish".. thats a lot of miles. I think I would pay 50-70k more for a low mileage car I can drive a lot.

I love the spec/color on this one, and the miles too. I just thought it would go $50k higher.

I don't care how some people rationalize it, that car was $100k more all day every day as recently as a year ago, let’s even say $75k to be generous.

Who knows what will happen, today's result sent shockwaves and a great deal of butthurt through the market, and some owners/brokers I know are super pissed that the seller accepted this price... in the long term I'm guessing these cars will come back for they really are special, but that's just my worthless opinion. But today this is where the market is for that spec with those miles, and numbers can be extrapolated from that baseline for cars with more desirable specs and lower miles, and those numbers, until someone decides to pay over today's market, mean that we're about 15% down from last year across the board.

Unless there is a story behind this car that we don't know of the buyer did great, probably the cheapest SA ever sold in the aftermarket in the last few years ... time will tell if it indicates a bottom or if there's more to go. Fwiw it's getting close to the point where I would come in myself.

If you have plenty of money, wouldn't that mean you can afford to actually drive it?

and that was just about 1 to 1.5 years ago. scary drop! The issues were that the price was already dropping before the pandemic starts.

You can spot the Speciale owners by how defensive and quick to justify why this Speciale sold at a relatively low price. Those contemplating a purchase see this as a bell weather for downward pressure on car prices.

5 years of ownership and 13k miles is considered high mileage. The message - keep the car in the garage and admire it from afar.

Lets see.. during the 3rd/4th week of Covid quarantine I picked up a Speciale Coupe (great example, launch spec, very clean) for 335kUSD. I don't know if that is at or below market, but it has 3000miles on it, Canadian car (means a lot up here).. lets see where the market goes. Maybe I overpaid, maybe underpaid..

My neighbor was one of those guys that would get a new one every couple of years but never put more than 1000 miles on the car. I didn't get his interest. He had a lot of money.

The price point for Ferrari limited editions has always been the 10,000 thousand mile limit between pleasure and pain. The prevailing notion despite millenniums claim on this site that mileage does not matter Is rhetorical.

A lot of the price drop over the last 18 months is from the Pista and Pista spider getting delivered. I’ve been watching the Speciale Aperta for the last 12+ months, and they came down $100k before COVID happened. How low they will go is anyone’s guess, but I think it will be a car that gains a LOT of value when the economy recovers this next time around. Last N/A, last Pinin Farina, epic sound, and truly limited number. What’s crazy is you can buy a Pista spider for the same money as a Speciale Aperta.
