Any thoughts on 458 resale value for a Rossa Corsa color vs. a Rossa Scuderia color?
I really cannot tell unless the cars are sitting right next to each other. RS is more orange. I prefer RC. Best
I think on the 458 RS would look great. Re value not sure it would make much difference however on my 430 scud the RS will sell faster.. for what thats worth.
You can search the threads - i was battling this for a while RS will attract less buyers than RC in my opinion
I own a Rosso Corsa 430. I personally love Rosso Scuderia and would buy one but I do think some buyers feel it is too orange. If you plan to keep for a bit go Rosso Scuderia if unsure Rosso Scuderia is a safer bet.
From what I've seen, RC will always sell better and faster than RS. There's a reason why RCorsa is the most common color.
FWIW, my understanding is that the percentage of Ferraris painted Rosso Corso has declined from around 85 percent back in the 1990s to around 40 percent today. It's still the most popular color, but trending down. I believe yellow is the second most popular color.
In my opinion the RS looks nice on a 360 Stradale. When I was looking for my scud, I test drove back to back the two colors. The RS looked like a faded red to me and I didn't like it. But again, it's a personal preference.
My understanding is that RS was made for F1 cars so they would visually "pop" more on TV. We just got back from the Rocky Mountain Region Fall Foliage Tour. Out of 16 Fcars, 3 were RS and 8 were RC. 1 was rosso fiorano (metallic red burgandy). Driving down the road I cannot tell. the cars have to be sitting side by side for me to really see the difference. The first RS I saw was a then new F430. So the color on road cars is relatively new. They both look good. My prefence is RC, but would buy an RS if options and condition were acceptable. I do not think resale price difference would be significant. So get what you prefer. Best
There was a very bright red used from 1996 - 2007 for TV but not RS. 'Nuovo Rosso F1 2007' was used in 2007 - first use of 3 layer paint. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosso_corsa
I have heard the same thing. The reason Ferrari created the RS color was for the way the F1 cars look on TV.
the guys at the factory call Rosso Scuderia "TV red" because in 2003 the ferrari formula one cars were painted RS because it looked better on TV...or so the story goes
That's what i read too so it must be true! Rosso Scuderia would have been my first choice. That was the colour I had on my first Ferrari too.
The models that I like best in RS are the CS and Scuderia. I didn't like RS on the 458 as much as I thought I would, it was just ok. Haven't seen an RS Speciale, though.
IMO, absolutely none whatsoever. If you are comparing green vs silverstone or orange vs white, maybe. But these colors are so much alike to the average buyer and there are so many who like both, I am certain it does not matter. Best Best
