Hello Everyone, this project took more than 3,5 months due to some unexpected parts, more than 100 little or large parts are ordered in order to do the conversion, which looks easy to do but takes a lot of skill, time and dollars for sure. All the parts are ordered from the factory everything is oem, even the zip tie. We even changed the luggage space because the hood wouldn't fit. Fenders have been processed to fit the bumper which is wider for the stock front fenders. We had to either buy or manufacture a completely new exhaust, we chose to manufacture, because of our local exhaust guru, which he made it flawless.

So, at the end of all this time and effort, the result is amazing, i can't explain how good it looks to MY eye, really feels like a completely different animal.

One little thing, lets not get the discussion of why ? whats the point ? etc,
Just wanted to share this project with you guys. To the photos then

The first day of the project, bumper comes off.

Please expand on how it "feels like a completely different animal."

This is one of my pet peeves, so I can't not say anything. You had an awesome car - the 458 will go down as one of Ferrari's greatest V8s, but you've completely butchered it by making it a Speciale wannabe. I don't get it, anyone worth trying to impress with your Fauxrari will see right through the charade. Anyone who doesn't figure out what you did doesn't know the difference between a 308 and a FF - they just see it's a Ferrari - so your 458 would have had the same affect on that crowd. So, for 50k euros, you lost major cred with legit car guys and gained no cred with non-car guys. Sorry to poop in your Cheerios, but I have a strong opinion about rebadging/facelifting cars.

Here is your problem, butchered you said. I don't see it that way and i don't try to impress other people with my car. The only reason for this conversion is to change the look of the car which i like more now. You call me a wannabe right ? What is your point ? I am not trying to fool people that my car is a speciale, i just like the LOOK of that car and thats what i did. Don't be a looser, relax. I don't have a strong opinion, cars are toys to play with and i like rebadging, facelifting or whatever you call it... Peace my friend.

I don't have a problem with people doing what they want to their cars, but I will give my opinion when I feel strongly enough to post something whether good or bad. Sometimes I don't like a roof wrap, pinstriped wheels, custom floor mats, etc, and I don't say anything because that's just personalizing your car. I just really dislike rebadging/facelifting. Everyone I've met that tries to make their G550 look like a G63 or their Cayenne look like a Turbo S is not doing it because they prefer the look, but so others think they have the newer/faster/better model. I thought Ferrari's were immune to this since just having a Ferrari is cool enough for most of us. Whether or not I'm wrong about your intentions, I'm not a fan of your project.

If you're gonna call me a loser, at least spell it correctly.

That's all I got. Enjoy the car - keep the rubber side down!!

******** man, what happens when your wife wears a shade of lipstick you don't like? I'm assuming it ends with her running from the room crying. Replica cars have been around since limited editions were invented. Who cares? If he's not selling and trying to pass it off as authentic, then you can't really assume he's trying to sell it as an upgraded version. The speciale' looks great, so what's wrong with doing what he likes to HIS car? Why not just appreciate it for what it is? Someone putting some quality work and effort into their car to make it the way they want it? Bashing it just doesn't make any sense.

No poser here, just a guy that doesn’t like it when guys rebadge/facelift their car to look like the newer/faster/better version. Pet peeves range from slow drivers in the fast lane to people talking at movies to improper grammar - this is one of mine, and it appears I’m in the minority on this one!!!

Well done project! I like it and I get the aim.

Just a note on the side: a 458 Italia in Turkey costs more than a Speciale in many other parts of the world.

    Regards,
    CF

Some guys here taking it really personally considering the extreme bashing of a guy who openly on this forum with a lot of photos shares the great effort put down into this project.

    Well done man!

I would let it be without the stripes as it looks really cool and as another posted, stealthy :)
