456 - Any Tips for Bosch 24A Wiper Installation

For the life of me, I can't get an Icon 24A to fit into the left-side wiper frame. I may be doing something wrong, but it seems like there's a plastic piece glued(?) to the J arm which seemingly makes the J simply too large for the 24A to accept. The extra part on the arm looks very "intentional," so I don't want to just rip it off. Any tips?

My car is a 1994 456 GT.

Thanks for the advice and picture for reference. I yanked on the extra bits on the arm in a different direction, and it came right off, and the Bosch wiper popped right in. Thanks!
