thanks. how much are they? anybody know how to remove the old speakers from that box between the seats? is there a how-to somewhere on the net you can point me to?
Quite simple. Get a plastic wedge about an inch wide or smaller and slip in between the leather and the side of the speaker grill. Lever the wedge up a bit. Work your way around the grill this way and it will pop out. Afterwards, remove the speakers by removing the screws that hold them to the box. Disconnect the electrical connector on the driven speaker (the other speaker is passive so no electrical wires to it).
