Dealers assume we are all idiots with tons of money.

People with money generally are not idiots or else they wouldn't have the money in the first place.

Where do you have the car listed ?

Anyone know of recent completed transactions so we can keep this thread going? I have mine insured at 220k and I am thinking the market may have cooled and I should lower the value. Any recent sales data would help those who are insuring as well as those who are looking to buy and sell. Let’s try to stay limited to actual sales prices - not ask price. Thanks to all those who have contributed over the last few years. Data that we have been collecting includes:

    B or Spider:
    Date of sale:
    Color:
    Mileage:
    CCB:
    Condition: (poor, good, excellent/like new)
    CPO:
    Average options or well optioned:
    Price before tax:
    Model year:
    Interior color:

From this side of the world, I asked a dealer I trust (specialist, non franchised) how much my 10k miles gated 05 430 Spider (FFSH) would actually sell for. He said he'd put it up for 130k GBP and it would sell for around 120k GBP. That's a dealer sale price gross of commission. A year ago, 10k more. He sells a lot of 430s. (Not selling mine.).

I've been looking for a 6-speed coupe for quite a while, if anyone knows of one for sale please feel free to send it my way.
Preference would be red/tan, shields, yellow tach, 15k-30k miles...
    Thanks!

I've been following the Canadian market closely for the last few months. The odd 6-speed 430 shows up and they seem to be sitting on sale for a long period of time.
They do tend to all be low-optioned cars (as someone else observed too). It's quite possible that a lot of them were originally chosen as manual as a way to get the cost of ownership down, so then why spend a few thousand on upgraded seats, etc...

More recently (maybe with winter coming) I'm starting to see repeated price drops on them. Right now they still list about 50-$70k higher than comparable F1s.

360's are sitting too with a much lower premium (maybe 10-20k only) over F1s.

I wld think the 430 stick premium sustains longer than 360 just because they made far fewer of the 430s in stick. I cant remember what percentage of 360s were f1 vs stick but the premium shld be rather linear versus production.

No official numbers on 430s and this has been the subject of debate on this board, the most credible answers I have heard so far have been between 800 and 1800 gated 430s total (Spider and Coupe) as around 10-15% of the total.

A lot of Ferraris are sitting around unsold, I don't think gated cars are better or worse than any others for this..look at F1 575s, for example, which have also slipped back in asking price; as have 550s (all gated), F1 355s, TRs..

Beautiful car, congrats from me as well!! The challenge wheels look amazing on the coupe.

I have a 2006 F430 gated spider I picked up this year and love it.

...But I might be just a little jealous as I really preferred a coupe. Mine was heavy on the spec/all the options I wanted, and the situation was right so I jumped on it.

I had it listed as a "Buy it Now" at 165K
    Got some low ball offers
Ebay is basically just a selling tool I tried hoping to connect with serious buyers and make a deal privately
I doubt anyone is going to buy a 100K + car sight unseen on an auction site but who knows?
