    On say, it is based on the big long lampredi with new heats, on say is based on long colombo engine from 330 ??????

    I have one also 1988 412 Sear Blue Met. with Cream 12,800 miles

    The car is from 1987 and has 43.000 km. Is 5-gear car with tan leather and carpet, dash blue. Spend last year alot of my time to make it nice. Will put inside pics later, it is now in my storage place.

    The primary design feature of the Lampredi motors was that they had cylinder liners screwed into the heads and the Colombo had liners slipped into the block with a conventional head gasket. There were other differences, none of which would apply to a Daytona or 412 motor. Your motor is a decendant of the Colombo.

    The 412 is the last of the Colombo based engines. Note: it is loosely based on Colombo's designs.
