Hmm- hopefully bringing a Ford? The GT is an awesome car and would love to check one out. I apologize if I have the wrong person.

I can't wait to see everyone! Sadly, I will not have a 2 wheeled italian representative with me this year. :(

    See you all on Sunday!

Good news- I look forward to seeing the car and meeting you.

Also- if anyone thinks they will be coming to Verell's via 495, a coulpe of us are meeting at the 495 West Rest stop just after Rt. 3 at around 10:30.
If that timing works for anyone, please join in. It's a little early, but we are helping Verell set up for the BBQ, and I need to get some onions on the grill....

    Verell,

Thanks again for an AWESOME BBQ! It was great to see everyone as well as meet some new folks.

John B, Thanks for letting Birdman and me take out the 348. She is a great car with a fantastic sound.

Birdman, Dude! That carb sound is so incredible. I never expected there to be that much of a difference over the QV's or other injected cars. Although the QV's do sound great too.

J-Wise. Thanks again for letting me take out the QV. She is a fantastic driver. Now I know why you drive it so often.

Chris, thanks for taking Bill out in his first ever ride in a Ferrari. I think we have a new Tifosi on our hands.

Michael, Elieen, it was great to see you all again. I'm sure I'll see you both soon ;-)

RMDC Great car! Great shape! Great to meet you.

Doody, have fun on the FZ-6 and keep the shiney side up. Keep me in mind for next season.

Steven, my track bro. Great to see you again. Too bad the car wasn't there but keep on trackin!

Euro328. Gorgeous car! Great color! Nice to meet you too!

Thanks again everyone, we had a great time and I look forward to next year!

    Cheers

    Scotty

Hello All - Thank you Verell for a truly great day. Best damn brisket this yankee ever had! It was a pleasure to meet everyone. Absolutely perfect day. Great food, great company. For me it just doesn't get any better than that.
Scott - Thanks for the compliment on the car.

    Great meeting every one!

Verell, thanks again, it takes a true Texan to make a mean brisket!

It was great meeting the new faces and catching up with the rest of you all! John, thanks for letting Scott and me test drive your 348. We kept it under the speed limit...mostly.

Here is a shot of Scott, the self-described "Ferrari Whore" with a big grin at the wheel of the 348, followed by me doing the same thing. I think Scott holds the record for driving the most Ferraris of the day! (I got to drive Frenchman's 348 and Wiseman's 308. One of these days I'm going to get to try a 360!)

A few more pics...the carb 308 and the infamous green 328 that DOES exist....here's proof!! And what is that "other" F-car behind it??? ;)

I'm suprised John B didn't get pulled over while he was going home.

The cops would have been looking for you 2 guys and poor John B gets pulled over "What?? me?? speeding??" :D

Well in my defense, if you look at the blur behind Jonathan, CLEARLY he is going MUCH faster than I was. :D

Nah, the camera was on aperture priority and will adjust the shutter speed based on ambient light. I was in the woods and it was dark! ;) Honestly, Scott and I both drove the 348 very gently....we did want to get busted in John's car....we didn't know where the registration was!

Frenchman and I left together and we drove VERY slowly out of town, let me tell you!! John, are you alive? I was hoping my hydrocarbon emissions didn't choke you to death behind me for 2 miles! Next year lets just invite the PD and then we can have police escorted test drives!

So now Scott and I are on the prowl for the 360 to drive. Any takers? ;)

Yep- a good time. Thanks Verell- the food was awesome. Corn bread too sweet? ;)

Spider348- thanks for letting me try out the 348- that sure is a big step up over a 308. I didn't speed either.......

I must have one some day.

Birdman- also thanks to you for letting my drive my first carbed Ferrari.
I really didn't expect it to be so fun. That sound sure is something.

I'm gonna have to have one of those too.

Here are a few photos: (that Ford GT was something else)
It wouldn't be a FChat BBQ without a little repair being done- new fuse blocks installed by the fuse block creator himself-Birdman!! Also- I've included ANOTHER picture of someone driving Frenchman's 348. We racked up some miles on that puppy yesterday. What an awesome car....

Thanks to all that helped get my car on the road with a sick battery. When I got home (2 hours) and shut her down, it was totally dead.

Did anyone find a small black leather camer case that says CANON on it. It's about the size of a deck of cards. Thankfully, I still have the camera!

Thank again Verell, and I'm already looking forward to next year.

Looks like you all had some good fun. Too hot here for a BBQ this time of year. We had a 'Derby Q' on Kentucky derby day back in May. Brisket is the best! What is printed on the blue t shorts many of you were wearing?

    Verell, thanks for your hospitality....
And guys (you know who you are), thanks for the great cruise down!...It was great 4 fcars in a row!!! It was real cool when Chris was getting onto 495 just as we were coming past, and he got right into the formation! We couldn't of planned it any better!

And Rex, thanks for the cool vintage photos! Those were awesome!
