Offering for sale this 1974 De Tomaso Pantera purchased from the original owner in 1984 and subsequently “resto modded” by Hall Pantera in California in 1988. It is said to be the second to last of the Hall “Super Pantera” projects to be completed. This build features Group 4 style flares rendered in steel and has Hall Pantera’s fully adjustable billet aluminum suspension and upgraded braking system. 3 piece modular wheels have been freshly rebuilt and are shod with new Pirelli P7 345/35/VR15 (rear) and 285/40VR15 (front) A fresh set of new fully adjustable coil overs from Hall Pantera have been installed, as the units from 1988 had seized up from lack of use. The braking, cooling and A/C systems have been serviced since reviving the car from long term hibernation. The steering rack has been freshly rebuilt, as has the carburetor. The front main seal was also replaced while servicing items in the front of the engine while the front bulk head was removed. A new ten quart fully baffled oil pan has also just been installed. The car now runs and drives well without overheating, but has developed a leak from the perimeter of the right bank cylinder head gasket. The rear main seal should also be replaced sooner than later. The repairs still required would be straight forward and simple for any competent DIYer. Or there could be an opportunity for a Coyote or ?? whatever your heart desires ?? engine swap.

Cosmetically, the car presents reasonably well. The Paint is a few nicks and stone chips with buffer burn on a few edges. There is also a small lacquer crack in the right/front fender. The interior was updated by Hall Pantera in the pattern of the then-new GT5-S cars that De Tomaso continued to manufacture in small numbers through the late 80’s. The interior also presents well with a small glue residue stain on the dashboard where a radar detector was mounted in period.

The car has a tremendous amount of curb appeal and is quite an attraction everywhere is goes. Priced at $99K OBO for quick sale.

Yes, the Pirelli P7 in 345/35 VR 15 rear tires that are fitted to the Pantera are the same tires fitted to the Lamborghini Countach S.
