    Ditto Marcel

The last one I knew about was mostly speculation that Chris Cox had brokered one at the 18mil area. But never heard if it actually happened....

Chris Cox got 3445 GT ex-Arnott and traded in a bunch of cars. That was last year, of course.

Very interesting. $50 million US will be broken soon and then $100 million within a decade, after all there is a finite supply. BTW according to information here Kidston - Rates they charge 2.5% commission so thats a cool million for SK. He is one of the best in the business and there is noone I would trust more than him to sell a car at this level. Cheers Tim

That front has always bugged me. It is a bit longer and flatter than any of the other GTOs i have seen (And i saw this one in person as well).

Congrats to the owner in any case!

Car has been partially rebodied several times, having led a hard life in the 60's.

Long term custodian Hartmut Ibing sold it. He bought it 40 years ago for peanuts.

was this car on display at the Nürburgring museum some years ago?

I've been there once and saw a nice 250 GTO but it could as well have been a replica. can't remember the year right now...

The silver fake 250GTO pops up now and then. In the description they claim it was built to recreate 4115. The 4115 has two vents. How could anyone take the rebody for the original?

It has just been factory certified (red book). That was part of the deal.

Did 3809 get back its original engine? Or was it the case that the GTE engine was installed to preserve the original GTO engine with the owner still having it in his possession?
