Just picked up car from paint shop last night.
    Looking terrific.
Now the fun begins with remembering where all the parts go and in the right order.
Next main task is stripping the wheels and getting them back to as new then fitting the new Michelins arriving from the UK next week.
Does anyone have a view on using Nitrogen vs just comp air?

Good luck Robert, I'm sure after the cars all together and you're back on the road you'll look back with fond memories of all the cursing, swearing and skinned knuckles !

By the way, was your car a special Aussie order ? I ask because my UK spec car didn't come with either a swivel chair or vacuum !!!

Just got all the SS parts back from being revamped and they look great.
The Chromers are sending up the door handle units so I'll post some photos when these are all back on the body.

Working on the aluminium grill in the bonnet at present.
Lots of grime and off colour after 40 years.
Photos shows the breaking apart of the unit into individual pieces ready for new annodising.
I used pliers to crimp the expanded lugs back to original size, then the slats slide out.
Intention is to crimp lugs with wire cutters to re-expand to make a tight slot fit for assembly and installation.

I had to drill out the holding bracket rivets and remove brackets as these are steel and needed to be removed for the anodising. Incompatible metal issues.

Can anyone recommend the best way the restore wheels off a '73 365 GT4?
These are original mag alloys with knock off hubs.
Good original condition with few chips or marks but needing to be improved to meet the rest of cars new standard.

Got the disassembled grill plates back from anodisers and not a good job. Plan B is as shown; strip and sand back to bare aluminium with wet and dry 800 then 1200 grade, then spray with engine paint aluminium colour multiple coats. Engine paint of course because of higher than ambient temperatures from the mighty V12 lurking under the bonnet. Looking good. Now to reassemble and install on bonnet.

Arghh... have a problem. I have radiator fluid leaking around the spark plugs for 7,9 and 11 pots. No obvious source of the radiator fluid leak. Can anyone suggest what is happening and source/ problem fix? I think there may be a sacrificial plug that corrodes out but I cannot see one in the heads etc.
Rest of car still coming together after work and other distractions.
Once new Voxson 8 track installed and other internals, I'll share some photo updates.
Target for completion is now July 2016.
