I don't see why not. Its getting the correct muffler system too so it'll be a regularly driven very correct example.
For anyone considering doing major work on your Boxer I can’t recommend Paul enough. He knows his trade, communicates often, prices fairly, and is always moving the project forward. He’s a huge asset to the Boxer community.
Good day Jean-Michel, You may need to narrow the location down a bit, as Canada is a big Country ... and there are places and areas where Ferraris are not treated or serviced to the same level as we have here Cheers, Sam
Hello Sam, thanks and yes you are right. At least if they were there in Canada, they would have land transport as a good option
It's great to see young kids with the desire and talent to get into the trade at a time when less and less people are wanting to get their hands dirty. This guy is very talented, all 90 pounds of him. I was shocked to see him fit through the air box cover opening with room to spare. I love seeing the paint process in pics. So cool! do you ever consider repainting these cars in single stage, to mimic the original paint job, or is that not worth it the cons of a single stage job?
Injected boxers were single stage which Ive duplicated at the owners request but its not forgiving if you get a scratch or some other form of damage. The 84 restoration I did was single stage like original. Older boxers were Lacquer which Im not sure you can even get anymore but I would never do that if I could. Most go base clear because its easy to repair and makes for a much nicer finished product.
Emissions regs killed laquer, one could still theoretically do a "repair" one fender at a time, but shooting an entire car would violate Low VOC regulations, and your neighbors would rat you out without a good scrubber on the Booth exhaust. Modern finishes are better, more long lasting, so why bother??
More clear tomorrow, sanding and clear to follow on the two clams, head light buckets etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
