Thanks, Wayne. I can't say I've seen this English-only version before. I see it includes the child safety system fitted to 2003 US cars, so it looks like a later version of the one I have.. and in colour!

Unfortunately, it doesn't have a full set of wiring diagrams (just snippets). I was hoping to find a corrected version of them (a few errors in the old ones).

Thank you sire! I had the "old version", downloaded from F-chat around 2017 but this is much better, far better resolution and color pictures. Really appreciated.

    Hello Reddesire348,
could you please PM me the 360 Spider workshop manuals as well? It looks like I cannot send PMs because I am new to the forum.
I got a wonderful 360 Spider manual in TDF blue in autumn and the top doesn't open anymore :)
    Thanks, Ondrej

    Hi all,
I have a 2002 360 F1 Spider and the roof opens and closes physically. However, upon opening, the car never seems to believe the roof completes the opening cycle. It appears that the sensor telling the car that the roof is in the proper closed position is not functioning or out of alignment. Is there a manual that can help me diagnose and fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

The Workshop manual (Section N) covers some of this but the majority is either experience or gall. If you have an OBD tool that can read the real time data from the capote ECU, you can watch the various switches open and close. @Qavion has some pretty excellent wiring diagrams that may help a lot more than the manual. The capote, if it hasn't been squished by a size 20 photoshoot, is pretty robust and DIY friendly.

If you PM me your email address I'm happy to send you a dropbox link for the manuals which includes the Roof section N and a pile of other stuff (too much to post herfe). Section N is very detailed however covers more the mechanic removal and install side of things. As suggested I don't think it will have the level of diagnostic detail you need to sort your problem.

Here's an overview of the sensors/signals involved at various stages of roof opening/closing:

    https://www.dropbox.com/t/GL5zoxllAj7umn70

... and here's a wiring diagram (work in progress) which should allow you to check the resistances of various sensors (from the Roof ECU plugs).

    https://www.dropbox.com/t/hpJZhRL448cM31eZ

Note that both documents have codes for the sensors ... e.g. EVVA-R, EDZ, ESDA, etc.

The sensors involved in the final stages of roof opening are shown here:

I guess it could be any of the sensors (in blue) in step 10 causing your problem, that's why it might be a lot easier to just to take the car to someone with specialist fault code reader. It could be a bent/faulty switch or a mechanical issue causing the problem.

    Experts?

Wow, great info and I have taken a copy (and pray I never need it ) good luck with following that. At least it gives you the chance to check relevant fuses etc.

ah.. fuses... I forgot they were in a different wiring diagram...

    https://www.dropbox.com/t/3dyFkXeA0hYlCNUS

Shown in the bottom left hand corner (or thereabouts)

Plug 31H/1Q is the common link between the two diagrams.

Doesn't sound like a fuse issue, though.
