Late request for your electrical schematic Taz. Pulled entire dash out to restretch leather, install billet vents, clean up stickys, and now "SPORT" mode is not illuminating. Schematic may help track it down. [email protected].

 

Does Sport mode come on when you turn on the rear window heat? Could be that the toggle switch plugs were mixed up during the de-sticky process.

The instrument panel probably uses a combination of inputs into the instrument cluster to produce the brightness adjustment display:

1) Pushbutton panel (near driver's knee)
Plug 3F to plug 8E

2) Parking light input
Pin 1 (yellow/green wire) on plug 7E

3) Power for backlighting may be the same as instrument panel power:
Either pin 1 (red wire (battery power))............. or pin 2 (green/white wire (key power)) on plug 6E

Yes, they are illuminated

 

I want to turn on this dashboard without car. I connected pin1 and pin2 on plug 6E to +12V , pin3 on plug 6E to "-". Dashboard turned on. And now I want turn on backlight. If I connect pin1 on plug 7E to +12V nothing happens

 

So not even the parking light symbol is appearing? Can you remember if the parking light symbol illuminated with the instrument binnacle in the car? If it does appear in the car then perhaps other inputs/earths are required to power up the circuits.

Because the needles are illuminating, but not the gauges, then perhaps the instrument binnacle needs that new light panel which is mentioned in that link I gave you?

Perhaps the 360/430 forum is a better place for your questions. Anyway, I'll look deeper into the diagrams and see if power or an earth is required on pin 1 (on 7E).

I would advise you not to turn on the ignition with the instrument binnacle not fitted to the car. On some Ferraris this will illuminate the airbag light (which needs a Ferrari SD tool to reset)

 

After looking at the diagrams, I believe pin 1 needs an earth, not +12V power. The signal to that pin comes from the steering column switch. The signal from the switch also goes to the coil of the position light relay in the forward luggage compartment. Ignition key power is on the other side of the coil. The Workshop Manual calls the relay the "dipped lights" relay (very confusing). The Italian name is "Luci posizione"

 

If I connect pin1 on plug 7E to "earth" the lighting of dashboard turn on. I got that information what I needed. Thank you very very much!!!

I think the system can now handle a 5 Mb file, so here it is as an attachment and everybody can access it.

 

Brilliant, thanks Taz. Not only are they clearer than the earlier diagrams, it looks like they've corrected some of the mistakes in those earlier ones.
Also, they add much more detail. e.g. missing radiator harnesses, plug labelling on both halves of the plug....

Should keep me busy for a few months
