i rented a viper srt 10 for one day and the 360 for the next day. i never driven either of the cars before and thought for sure the viper srt10 would be the more comfortable car to drive. man was i wrong. the 360 handles soooo much better and has so much more room it amazing. all the people that own the 360 are very lucky people. the car handles like on rails. i had to drive it in 20 minutes pouring down rain and the handling was great. what a great car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell ever gave you the Idea that a viper could even compare to a 360 in the first place?

well the viper has a little more hp and trq. and its made in the us. i thought for sure it would be comfortable to drive. i expected the 360 to be a little more nervous on the road. also the viper has no power seats and the top has to removed by hand after you open the trunk. and there is no room behind the seats. the 360 has enough room behind the seats to store your golf clubs. its just an amazing car better than i expected. even at 140 mph its like on rails, the viper got a little bit jumpy.

I'd figure the 360 had more space from the start. Everyone complains about the inside of Vipers being really cramped.

But you're lucky to have driven both!

That right there should have given it away!
While i somewhat appreciate the crudeness of Vipers, especially previous models with no ABS, traction control and such, the car as a whole is lacking in every aspect.

I don't mean to start a war here but I am fortunate to have both the 360 and the viper. I sold my srt10 but kept my supercharged GTS. Anyway the viper has a lot more hp than the 360, 300+ versus 490 stock and nearly double the torque.

Most people believe the vipers are only good in a straight line but I have driven mine on a road course many times and I know a few people that do extremely well in autocross.

The real difference in the cars is the driving experience. To drive the viper hard and fast takes 110% concentration while the Ferrari is much more refined and smooth. Both can be very fast in the right hands.

    Again, they are different animals.

i thought the 360 has 400 hp and the viper 500hp. the 360 is also a little lighter about 400 pounds. so it should be pretty equal.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think issue may be no seat time in the viper. As I said they are two different cars and the viper is much faster in a straight line. We are getting 11.90 with stock vipers and stock tires. Takes a bit of practice but I don't think any 360 will do that. That being said I wanted the ferrari for a long time and now that I have one I am not disappointed in anything about the car. In fact it gets more runs through the mountains here than the viper ever did.

Yes, its the sound that makes the fcar so special, among other things. Vipers are great cars though and I miss mine. Gib has obviously never driven one, or certainly not a good one to call them trash.

Well said, Leonard....... I happen to own a Viper as well and i have driven several 360's.... The 360 does have more room (more comfortable)then the viper but ultimately they are born and bread differently.... My next purchase is a 360 and i happen to love both cars......
That being said.. Don't harp on the Viper... Most cars cant even touch it (especially with a twin turbo heffner pushing 906 RWHP!!!! w/91octane!!!)

i owned both cars but they are totally different cars to compare. viper is very fast car but ferrari is much advanced and easy car to drive but they are too different to compare. now, if i can only have one car than i would choose ferrari over viper anyday. my viper was supercharged and it made 790rwhp and ferrari put down 325rwhp other day. far as track time goes i think viper is faster.

Its hardly worth comparing a twin turbo tune to a stock car.

2 more strikes against the viper, you drive 100 miles and the tank is 1/4 empty. i can find some parts in the dashboard i can find in the dodge trucks, seemed like cheap plastic. oh and the 2nd gear goes up to 90 so the gears are really tall.

I bet you have nothing in your garage that can compare to the performance of a Viper...
    You talk out of ignorance.........

only thing i liked about the viper was when you punched it you moved forward. and you can be lazy cruise in 3rd gear all day long. don't know if all vipers are like that but the srt 10 i drove for 270 miles got really hot inside.

Just to be accurate, I drove my viper cross country two years ago when it was stock and averaged 24mpg. Not bad for 8 liters. It is not as easy to drive as the ferrari but a lot of fun in its own right.

1/4 empty= 3/4 of the tank was gone.
the 360 i drove for 230 miles and there was more than a 1/4 left

yes i am a teenager, but i know more about cars then most people will ever know. Just think, without driving, i have way more time to research and read about cars. I consider that i am a teenager a very very good thing car wise.
