All, I am due for brakes on my 430 equipped with steel rotors. While I have sufficient thickness to do just pads, I’m going to do the whole thing with new rotors but will be using Brembo vs OEM Ferrari. However, I am unable to decipher if I have the right part. Everything points to Brembo 09.7267.50, which crosses over to Ferrari 182606 and that corresponds to a 360. The F430 part number is 213484. The prices of these parts are very different but appear to be the same part. Is this a case of Ferrari repackaging the same part for a more expensive car and markup it up like they do with the cam solenoids (same part as Maserati) or is there a difference in thickness that wouldn’t be apparent. I have also seen the Brembo rotors advertised as for both 360 and 430, so was thinking the former but wanted to confirm before ordering these from across the pond. Thank you in advance for the replies!
The F430 discs are a metal matrix which does significantly improve bite and overall performance, but even then with the power of the F430 the original iron brakes are marginal if you like to get a move on.
AFAIK they are the same. I bought a pair of these for my front 430 rotors (was $360 a pair in the past). They are called out as 360 brembo. Just make sure to mask the pad area and paint the hats and vent areas (I chose black) so they don't rust. https://www.ebay.com/itm/363434231037 Image Unavailable, Please Login The difference is that Ferrari parts are already painted on the hats+vents while the Brembo are bare metal. Look at OEM rotors on eBay and you will see what I mean. Ferrari tax is strong with this part. Of course all made by Brembo. $78 for bare rotor $163 for 360 "official" ferrari painted rotor $337 for 430 "official" ferrari painted rotor All scuderia quoted above. I got taken myself for the bare units I bought.
