I've searched on this forum and on Google and I can't find the published shift speeds for the 360. From what I've read, the Stradale and the 430 both shift in 150 milliseconds. I found an article on the 360 that said that it also shifted in 150 milliseconds but I'm sure the 360 shifts much slower than a Stradale. Anyone know the F1 shift times for the 360 in Sport mode?
Ask TREV , but i'm quite sure that 150 ms it's for 360 and 100 ms for stradale. Trev have sold recently a STRADALE ECU and i remenber that the spec was 50 ms less than the regular version Ricardo
copy of a thread from new Stradale Ecu Owner: Challenge Stradale F1 TCU in 99 Modena -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last week I decided to buy the Challenge Stradale Transmission control unit from Trev360. We met up and installed it just under the rear bench covers which was really easy to do. We then switched the power on and started the engine. With some trepidation I accelerated slowly out of the garage and onto the road. Instantly I could feel the throttle was incredibly sensitive. The very slightest touch had instant response from the engine. I would say it was at least twice as sensitive as before. Then we came onto the open road. Gear changes were incredible. First gear up the change is incredibly fast. I would say without sport mode it was slightly more quicker then the 99 stock sports mode ! With the sports mode activated the gear change is quicker still by about another 25%. The biggest difference is the acceleration and torque! I have never felt anything like it! Every gear the car just pulls incredibly quick. I have to say its like driving a different car. I am very surprised how effective this modifcation is. I am having to learn the car again now and it feels brilliant ! Thanks to Trev for helping me install it and doing some colour polishing and carnuba waxing. Cant wait to see pics of your Challenge Stradale when its finished!
It depends on rev and mode. I feel the CS is as slow or slower in gear changes in normal mode at low rpm´s as the 360. In race mode at higher rpm´s it´s ALOT faster then 360 in sport mode and high rpm´s. It actually feels faster then Gallardo SL.
i've said before, check out 5 gear video on CS in you tube, you can see how quick the CS shifts, seems like no neck snapping to me
I'm not a mechanic and just wondering... is the stock 360 transmission and drivetrain able to withstand the stress the new TCU puts on the system? Is there any concern your transmission might implode because it's "not supposed" to shift that fast? I say this assuming the CS tranny etc. has been somehow fortified for it's intended purpose of high-rev, high-speed, high-frequency shifts. Frank
The transmissions carry different part numbers (complete trans) but when you break down the part numbers for the components they are the same. I have about 5K on my CS TCU in my 2000 without an issue.
I get and can feel that it shifts faster... the question is, what is the spec? I know for sure the Strad is 150ms so the 360 must be 200ms. I just can seem to find anything that states this. Everything I've found says the 360 also shifts in 150ms.
There is an urgent need information for F360 F1 - is available at the TCU F1 CS adjustment PIS and what TCU is better CS or # 211023 MY03 (the latest version ferrari) Thanks in advance
