Wondering if anyone has any insight on what it might be like to register this 360. It's for sale on Copart and for primary damage it says Missing/Altered VIN. It does say CA salvage certificate. Current bid is $36,250.

    Anyone know anything about it?

Can you post a link and/or the VIN. This is my area of interest, and I'm intrigued.

I'm confused. The VIN they've provided checks out, and is a valid US VIN with a correct check digit. Do they offer any additional information as to how the VIN was altered, and/or from what part(s) of the body the VIN is missing?

If the car proves to be in top shape, and its only blemish is this "missing/altered VIN" issue, then buy it! The VIN can be found in several places, and as long as it's the same in all of those places, it should be fine. IF the VIN has been altered, I imagine it was on one the door jamb sticker/label, and not one of the permanent stampings.

If they get back to you with additional information, I'd be very interested in learning more. Thank you.
