This is an EXCELLENT question!! I've been wanting to get my standard 360 seats reupholstered to Daytonas for a long time. I went to a "premier" upholstery shop recommended by Ferrari of San Francisco, but when I asked them if they would convert my seats into Daytonas, the answer was, "What's a Daytona?". I ran. The upholstery shop recommended by Ferrari of Silicon Valley went out of business so no help there. And my local upholstery shop (who does phenomenal coachwork) does not have a template to go off of. I don't want "custom" Daytona seats, if you know what I mean. I contacted the top two online Ferrari upholstery shops and sent them samples, and after three tries, they still couldn't figure out the right stitching color. My local shop has the right leather, the right stitching color and weight. They just need to copy something. Ideally, one would want the following dimensions: A: The distance from the top of the insert to the top of the first Daytona slat B: The height of the slat C: The width of the center stripe D: The height of the area between the slats E: The width of the Daytona insert F: The distance between the edge of the Daytona slat and the first hole G: The distance between the holes H: The diameter of the holes One would need these items A, B and D for the bottom cushion as well (assuming they are different). Just measured my seat. A. 2" B.3/4 C.11/4 D.11/2 E.41/4 seat back top insert and progressively wider with seat cushion forward insert width of 6" F.5/8 G.11/4 H.1/4 Hope this helps. Can make more measurements if need be. A, B, and D are the same for back and seat.
You are so nice!! Just one more question. I've seen the slats in two versions: where the top and the bottom of each piece is folded over (making a nice folded edge) and where the slats were not folded over (basically just a piece of rectangular leather with three holes). Kind of like the difference between hemming your pants by just cutting them to length with a pair of scissors or folding them to the inside at the bottom and then sewing to make a nice folded edge. Which one is it? Thank you.
Thanks to F Chat my Daytona seat conversion came out great. Thanks All Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
