It's one of the MOST common failures, it's the clutch block and they ALL fail. Hills Engineering do a uprated replacement part and I always advise everyone to swap to it as the factory part is made of cheese! Atta boy Randy! And sorry about the clutch bloc leak. But you caught it. I trust you used dielectric grease on the Alternator power cable? And the new harness was a good idea. Mine failed last year and it was a $5K job with the battery. The new cable is uprated at the crimp. Also, make heat shields for your exhaust ecus if you don't already have the shielding in your panels. They are right over the exhaust and cook as result. My first diy fix on my spider. Yes we use dielectric greased on alternator harness to Thanks , far as the heat sheet for exhaust ecus that smart of you .On my 360 I am going to wrap my headers and test pipe that will make huge heat reduction
Just installed my new clutch block from Hill Engineering just have to bleed the system should be good to go , here is a pic of the bad clutch block you can see the crack has any had this go bad on your 360 ?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice Randy, well worth the effort to source and replace it with the High Tensile steel version that Hills engineering produced which virtually eliminates the risk of this failure happening again (Ive never heard of a single HE version failing!)... My recommendation for this part comes from my own use of this part on my own personal car. Trev
Trev as always thanks ! how do you go about bleeding the F1 pump I know there is two bleeder box one above and below how would you do it ???
I was able too bleed the F1 system turning on the key and shifting the pedals while opening the bleeder valve on the clutch block all is good now .
I emailed the CS registry and told them about my 360 CS conversion and sent them a link to Fchat, they replied to me the next day. I was very supersize about what they said, I would have thought they where going to be negative about the build looks like they have been watching my thread on Fchat .. here is there response to my email ... Very cool. I check your thread from time to time and it's very impressive what you have done. Must be one of the most extensive conversions ever done. You have basically created the 1289th Challenge Stradale I like how you even added the Scuderia shields and ofcourse the lexan windows are a very rare find! One of my friends in the Netherlands converted a 360M to full CS specs including the lexan windows and interior too. Maybe I can add some sort of guide how to convert a 360 to CS to my website (part of the Wiki page) with photos, part numbers and links to other conversion (like your topic on Ferrarichat). You're an absolute mad man in the best way possible. How did the Sonax alcantara cleaner go? I bought some about a year ago and never got around to testing it out. I'm always worried about matting up the alcantara fibers. They're very sensitive in these cars.

CarbonDan Thanks for the compliment I only use Sonax it once on the seats you have to use natural hair bush so not to damage the Alacantara and very lightly spray maybe better to spray it and a rag and wipe clean and use the brush ..
MikeLaw I had absolutely no ideal you where the person behind your sight it has been very very helpful me in my CS build !! Thanks for replying to me so soon it was very cool to hear your opinion .. I have still have a few more things to complete two rear shocks and four titanium springs and anti roll bar and factory carbon fiber compensation ducting cover. I am selling factory Challenge single tip exhaust system and installing Line-S xpipe exhaust system dual tips and have already replace the shocks ecu....

I think maybe ?? I maybe the only that has upgraded shock ecu, my goal was to do every thing complete on my CS conversion , It took almost a year to cross reference every single part from the regular 360 and the CS inside and out . I know there are seven different wire harnesses looms on the CS car upper front dash under the front bonnet pedal harness F1 harness and so on, you are going from key start to push and lunch control race mode Mase enigeneering down loaded CS mapping so that would all work I know Trev would know .
I have decided to replace my Factory Challenge racing exhaust and replace it with factory CS muffler and use FabSpeed stainless duel tips and remove the rear toe hook I think it will look better and I have already replaced the Challenge badge to the Challenge Stadale badge what do you think ??
