Has anyone changed out their OEM steering wheel with a after market one ??? I love the 430 wheels and I am looking for a little fatter wheel with some style.

    any suggestions ???
has anyone changed out their steering wheel ???

FVD has some amazing steering wheels that will work BUT with no Ferrari logo in the center.

You can always use the NOVITEC ROSSO Steering Wheel. It is thicker and fatter and also has a flat bottom that provides more leg room if you are a taller person. They are built to order, but outstanding quality and work perfectly. I attached their pricing and some picture links.

    steering wheel Supersport (in exchange)
    in leather or Alcantara bottom F8 360 50 $ 2,990.--
leather or Alcantara complete including airbag and coverings F8 360 37 $ 4,390.--
carbon bottom including airbag and coverings in leather or Alcantara F8 360 51 $ 4,590.--
carbon bottom and top including airbag and coverings in leather or Alcantara F8 360 52 $ 4,790.--
    shift lever F1 in carbon, long design (set) F8 360 40 $ 1,490.--

To me the 360 wheel is the best wheel ferrari has had in decades...the only fault I have (and it's minor at that) is I'd prefer the horn in the middle. The lack of buttons, switches, and a large air bag area like the 430 makes it beautiful to look at and use to me. Simple ergonomic 3-spoke leather wheel with a fitting design for a ferrari. What I like about the options AC posted is they keep the stock attributes and just customize to your taste!

Everyone has their own opinion...to me the 360 wheel is much nicer than the 430, and the 458 wheel is something I'd expect from a japaneese manufacturer.

Wow. I am surprised you'd even consider changing out the steering wheel, it's awesome.

If you don't mind loosing your airbag you have lots of options once you fit a 360 Challenge steering wheel hub (see microfiche). You could also consider the 360 Challenge wheel, its really nice (alcantara) feel and very light.

Fast parts lookup for all models...

Once you have the 360 Challenge Hub Adaptor fitted you obviously loose your airbag so you need to fit a resistor to stop the airbag warning light illuminating (many companies sell these, just search on MOMO steering wheel hub adaptors for most car spare sites).

The Challenge hub fits most aftermarket steering wheels.

But if you change out your airbag wheel for one without one, won't that invalidate your insurance?

I actually removed my (barely used) Alcantara wheel this week, if you wanted to buy one.

However, I'm a big proponent of the "go big or go home" school... so here's my suggestion:

Not as far as I'm aware, there is no legal requirement for an airbag!

You ofcourse must tell them you've changed to an aftermarket wheel and they charge you extra accordingly.

For $6K(!) I'll keep my perfect 360 wheel and use the money towards services. That wheel belongs in the enzo and not in a 360 in my opinion...half the buttons on it wouldn't even work (unless you wire the nose lift button to be a passenger eject seat activator or something... :) )

Does anyone know the mm for the 360 steering wheel ???

I am working with FVD (porsche tuner) and they do have a hub that will fit on the 360. Wheels are sim to SpeedArt etc. Price is anywhere from 800 to 1400 + the hub.

I have the FVD in my Porsche, and I also changed the sterring wheel in my Gallardo. If I remember correctly tried to find a way to do the FVD in one of my 360's but I was unable to find a Hub mount.
