I've searched and read threads for hours on end yesterday for seat options for the 355. I see the carbon seats are unobtanium as there's a mob who want them and they're rarely available. Not to mention my interior is Connolly and those are all but impossible to find, and even it you find the seats in another color, it's near impossible to have them reupholstered to match as true Connolly is another wild goose chase. So if you're OCD like myself you would have to redo the entire interior to make it all match.

My goal for the aesthetics of the seats is OEM+, so I would like them to be authentic Ferrari seats, and more sporty than the current seats in the car. I saw mixed information fitting 550 seats in the 355, some have done it or said it can be done, others say the seats are too large. I also read the carbon 550 seats are the same goose chase as the 355 seats. Do 360 or 430 seats fit without major modification? I don't mind a little modification to make the right seats fit but don't want to have to go too deep for them.

I don't have a budget in mind as I'm just seeing what fits and what my options are at this point. Thanks in advance.

360 seats fit and have been done. Haven’t seen 430 seats in a 355.

Keep in mind Ferrari used Poltrono Frau leather for 360’s and 430’s.

550 cf seats are near identical to 355 cf seats.

Recaro Sportsters look great in a 355 and you can buy them today. And to me at least they look a lot more appropriate than 360 or 430 seats. Some day when I have more time for car projects this is the direction I'm going to take, as the stock 355 seats are pretty bad.

I would do F40 reproduction seats. O’Rourke in the UK can supply them and in the fabric of your choice. They can also try to match the leather as they work closely with Connolly, but whatever Connolly has in stock is not a good match.

Connolly is willing to re-attempt to re-create 90’s Connolly Autolux to exact past standards with a min order of 10-20 hides for one color.

I haven’t seen PF tan and Connolly tan put side by side to see if color is off. However, texture is off. PF leather is smooth while Connolly is grainy. Connolly has a more masculine appearance.

I don't see anything on their website about selling the seats. $10k sounds like a bargain considering what people are paying for 355 carbons. And they can customize them?

Check their Instagram page. You’ll have to contact them. No one that I know of has done customized F40 seats in a 355.

O’Rourke is a well-known trimmer in the UK. They don’t make F40 reproduction buckets, but they know where to source them and trim them.

I would also ask them to send you samples of Connolly autolux in tan before moving forward.

The stock seats are Recaro LS-C seats with the optional adjustable bolsters, thigh extension, and adjustable lumbar on the driver's side. Ergonomically, they are a great seat but I agree they could use more aggressive bolsters (which you can still source from Recaro if you are having them redone).

Another good option if you want a carbon fiber seat back is the Sparco SPX. These are pretty comfortable and fairly low-profile. Obviously nobody that knows these cars is going to mistake it for OEM but if recovered it would look good in a 355 too.

The Sportster GT might look slick in the car, is that the seat you mean?

I like that they are a bit narrower (I don't love the bulky width of many options, including the factory CF seats ). But have not been able to find any good pictures in the car.

Following on here. I think the Recaro's in this car fit horribly, but guessing they could be installed lower with an alternate mounting setup?

Is that your car? How difficult were they to fit in the 355? They suit the car well in my opinion

They really do look great; lucky to find Daytona seats with silver trim which really compliments my grigio titanium exterior.
Couldn't be happier with this mod: Huge upgrade in looks, feel, and comfort..

I can't say it was all that difficult, but it did require a good deal of trial and error, patience, engineering/fabrication, and some cutting.
Each seat required 3 brackets that I made from aluminum (started with balsa). Happy to assist if you travel this road.

Nicely thought out but steel would be a better choice of material for the brackets.

Did the 430 seats put you up higher or more forward in the car?
