I don't recall signing in to make my original entry. Maybe I did and just cannot remember.
I didn't register when I made my point either. it never asked me to. I just did and I'm logged in but it won't let me change my pin. I don't think it is relating the old point to me as the new user. Now I have someone else's point over top of mine. I'm not sure how that happened but there are no other 355s anywhere near me so I'm sure it's a miss pin. Bob do you think if you deleted my pin and I started over now that I'm registered it would work? Thanks.
I'll figure it out. I added a dummy pin without logging in and when you were done it gave you a link to save to edit the pin. I note that it still let me in to edit it even after i closed my browser., It may log an ip address or something for a period of time. They have a support number in CA. I'll figure it out
Here is the response from the map people. In the meantime if anyone wants to edit their pins just make a second one as you want it and let me know to delete the unwanted one Hi Bob, My apologies for the delay in responding, we are a bit behind on emails and phone calls. We remember the entries added by a user in cookies. So, if the user visits the map from the same browser that they used to create the entry, they should be able to make changes to the entry. Currently there is not way to retrieve the Edit URL if it was not saved. We are working on a solution that will allow map Admins to access Edit URLs for others' entries, so they can send them out as requested. This capability should be available in a few days. Users for my map that created pins without registering are complaining that they cannot edit their pins. How can they go about editing their pins after they have created them? Is their something i can do to give them access to the edit functions if they didnt save that url that is provided on creating a pin? Thank you --
David I dragged your marker to OKC. YOu can do that yourself as well. If you want me to delete it and you can redo it let me know.
