    I would do a local 500 mile shake down trip. If she runs well,you've got solid green light for 3,000 miles.

    I would try to drive the car a few hundred miles before you take it on the trip just to make sure everything is good and nothing springs up when you're on the long trip.

    You'll have a blast, I'm jealous!

    Hopefully just the grey/black wire came off the terminal on the pressure sender. The other wire (grey/yellow) on the sender is for the pressure warning light, so that should give some warning that the engine pressure is too low.

    It's just the sender unit to the gauge. When I got it it worked but would occasionally flop over. It got progressively worse, and is on the to do list for the major service. Like Qavion noted they suspect it's a wiring issue. The car runs fine.
