Backs of all 3 were carbon (not 100% sure if the Euro car came optioned with those seats or if they were added later)

Thanks for creating this post, Ken! When I discovered this rare option existed in 2019, I decided if I ever purchased an F355, it would have to contain the rare and unobtanium carbon fiber/kevlar racing seats. I'm the proud owner of a U.S. delivered 1 of 1 Spec (as per my research) F355 GTS in Nero Carbonio Metallic over red/black carbon kevlar seats (1996). Being able to remove the targa top and show off the seats, makes my GTS even more special.

I have been compiling a database of cars equipped with the racing seats and have 85 total F355s listed. If you own or know of cars with these seats, please send me a message with the information or post in this thread. I'll continue to update my personal database accordingly. Here are the current stats:

Total Cars with the CF/CK Racing Seats - 85

Total Berlinettas - 48

Total GTS - 36

Total LHD - 58

Total RHD - 27

I haven't been able to confirm the transmissions for some of the '97-99 cars in the database, so I'll have to update later. I compiled this list by going through all public auction data, FChat threads and F/S posts, cars for sale online throughout the world, and the F355 Registry. Here is the interior of mine:

I just purchased a 1995 GTB, US spec with factory spec’d carbon seats in size Large. Will add some photos when I have the car back from service.

 

I have some photos and half of the VINs. My database breaks out the year, model, exterior color, seat color(s), location, history if any, LHD/RHD, Euro vs NA, manual vs F1 or swapped (there are 4 swapped cars in the database), mileage if applicable, and mods.

 

I don't think I have your car in my racing seat database. I have one giallo/black Berlinetta that was sold out of Michigan in 2014, but it doesn't sound like that is yours. If you wouldn't mind sending me the last 6 digits of your VIN (or the full VIN), I will add it to the database. I don't intend to make the VINs public, but it would be great to track and show how rare these cars truly are. Thanks!

 

Jeremy Clarkson's first Ferrari was a 1996 F355 GTS that he ordered in rosso corsa over creme and red racing seats. RHD of course. Here's a link to his video review:

Mine was standard vanilla from the factory. Now with 550 maranello seats which are similar to the later 355 seats but different inset pattern.

I have two F355's with the seats right now, my personal car (Japan spec, Blue Le Mans on Tan) and one that I'm prepping for sale (S.A. delivered, Nero Daytona on Nero interior with red contrast stitch, FHP car), and sold a US spec F1 GTS (Rosso on Nero) with them late last year.

I have a bunch of vins of US cars that I monitor if they were to come up for sale...but stopped adding to that list because I find RoW cars to be optioned better most times.
