Anybody know who does a good job of boring throttle bodies? Preferably in LA area, but anywhere would do. Gotta get more air to the motor! Need more horsepower!!!!

More horsepower is a great thing...but if your throttle body is too large then you will lose air-intake-speed.

From my view, boring the TB's only makes sense when the TB's are the bottleneck...and I'd place money on our MAF's being more restrictive.

Our 348's have Extra Cold Air injection ports that are open for cold starts.

Would it give us any benefit to open those ports at Wide Open Throttle?

Im not so sure that you would see much of a gain in HP doin that. I have seen alot of guys with "normal" cars, bolt on larger throttle body's,with a cold air intake and see small HP increases. How much do you want machined out of the throttle body?? How much can you machine out more like it?? :p Is there enough meat in the body to do so,and you will have to replace the butterfly's also if you machine the throttle body man. I wouldnt bother with it. :)

Like what was said above you're wasting your time and money. You would need to remap the fuel program and airflow meter to go along with more air and then that would effect other parameters ie; cat performance. You can't just do something without effecting something on the otherside of the equation, kinda like algebra. Regards, Vern
