The Ferrari 348 I have was in a wreck and im repairing it, I notcied that it sits 1/2" higher on the right rear side then the rest of the car. I inspected the frame and nothing seems to be damaged or bent, it seems to be that the lift is from the right rear suspension. Is there a way to adjust the ride height independantly?

The ride height can be adjusted with the spanner nut on the spring. You may need to balace and align it with height adjustment.

I read that 348's have some weak points on the rear frame, any idea where these are located? I would like to check it before I start adjusting the suspension.

Dude, I fear that you are going to get slammed on this board for repairing a damaged 348. Be strong brother! You may want to send a PM to Fatbillybob, he seems to be an expert on the 348 suspension.

Why would I get slammed for it?

I have not heard of any weak points. Rear sub frames I think were the same across model year. The 348 ran cahllenge series and I don't think any particular mods were done for race prep. I think rear sub frame is pretty strong for most any application and set up. Others on this site who built and raced in the challenge series may know of some weakness. I know on my factory 348 Challenge came with solid bushings and agressive camber in the rears.

I think the problem is if it has been damaged the sub frame is out of production and hard to come by.

    Good luck on repairs.

Thanks for the info. I have had a few of the 308's but this is my first 348, although it was wrecked we bought it for less then any of my 308's, It doesnt seem to be damaged to bad other then it sits at a slant. It doesnt have any papers but with only has 11,000 miles it didnt seem important. Looks as if someone loved it alot before, the exhaust looks after market, its all stainless steel, interior is near perfect except for the vents which seem like they have glue all over them.

If anyone has any more suggestions on the suspension please let me know, The complete car in the rear sits at a slant including the frame, so that tells me its probably the suspension.

If anyone has a 348 could you measure from the floor to the top of the rear fender (the highest curve part above the tire). Then I can know if the passenger side is too high or if the drivers side is to low.

    thanks

I just measured my 348ts for you. There is a small "step" in my garage floor, so the car may not be absolutely totally level, but here is what I measured, from the floor to arch above the center of the tires:

    Left Front: 26 1/8"
    Right Front: 26 1/8"
    Left Rear: 27 1/2"
    Right Rear: 27 5/8"

I say you may get slammed because you are not using an 'expert' to do collision damage repair. I say more power to ya, sounds like the info you are getting will put your car back to 'factory' in no time!

Anybody who would slam you for keeping one of these beauties on the road needs their tongue cut out and their fingers hacked off........I have a rusty hatchet if anyone wants to borrow it.

    Keep 'em flying turbo!
