Hello, I saw a render of a 348 with a ducktail and liked it. My 348 is undergoing a tiny resto, and I decided to have some fun with it. Made a scan and 3D drawing and printed a template from this; we will make a carbon fibre ducktail. Is anyone who would like one, as making one or 5 doesn't make much difference? Some pictures of the process. I will keep on posting on the progress. Also in the making is a carbon front lip And everything that I am doing is reversible, so I can put my car back to its original if I ever change my mind, but this should be a factory option, in my opinion. I was planning to do this exact thing - only a little lower on the profile. Would love to discuss with you.
this one is smaller-lower than Liberty one and liberty covers the ferrari emblem on the back. Liberty is plastic-fiber glass and this one will be carbon. And it follows the lines of the car therefore looks more natural. I wanted to buy the liberty one, but was a bitt too much for my taste so I decided to fabricate it myself. Will also make a front splitter same style. More pictures will follow, so any remarks ideas or other comments more than welcome The idea is that it will be red (rear), but really thin layer of paint (like F40) to see the woven and front will be black same style, but in black
I've always maintained that to each his own. I wouldn't do that to my 348, but if the OP likes it on his that's his prerogative.
I'm interested to see the final product. Might stick out a bit too much still for my tastes though. I also had plans to do some scanning, cad, and 3d printing then lay carbon fiber for the first time to make a small duck tail to give a look sorta like the 355. Good luck! If it turns out good, I may be interested!
That is exactly why every thing I do is reversible in case I sell the car or change my mind in the future
I was talking with my brother about 3d printing one that looks similar the 355. I'm interested if you making one. Saves my brother the time.
Lots of different angles of the LW 348’s lip in this video. Attaching such a piece in a non-destructive manor will be a challenge.
Hello Guys and Girls, Finally done with the rear one. The front will follow. Some pics to start with. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I would love to get the 348 scan files from you. I have some 3D printed molds myself that would be happy to share. For me it is as much about the process and the product. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
