The $250 Ferrari 348 IDLE ADJUSTMENT REGULATOR Part No. 142432 is Bosch part #0280140505, which just happens to be VW/Audi part #034133455 (available used for as little as $59 here: http://stores.ebay.com/Federal-Trades-Inc , or dented for $95 here: http://www.epsparts.com/product/0280140505 ).

But even if you have to pay $200+ for it new, it's still somewhat useful for those of us without authorized Ferrari dealerships in town to be able to walk into the local VW/Audi/Saab dealership to pick up a Ferrari 348 part.

Word of warning....Eurospares in the UK aren't going to sell you the alternative parts at the lower prices as described earlier in this thread. e.g. If you try and order a 328 part at say 8 pounds, that shows as an alternative part number for a 348, they will instead refer you to the higher price for the part, against the new superceded number! I just tried today and it ain't happening. Situations like this are enough to make me want to walk from Ferrari car ownership! 328 part as advertised 8 uk pounds, 348 part as advertised 65 uk pounds

I don't really understand how that works, but...

....this site lists that part for 16 pounds: http://www.allferrariparts.com/parts_list.php search for: 121769

The electric motor of the above two-part heater-control-valve is Bosch part #0 390 721 006, which is the Saab 9000 P/N 9625435 at $139.00 (always good to be able to walk into a local Saab dealership for parts when you don't have a Ferrari dealership in town).

    It's available on-line for 73 Euros here: http://www.pezzidiricambio.com/select_e.asp?ID=021&Mc=BOSCH&Muovi=3

FYI: the Ferrari part number for the two parts above is: 63306400

You'll want to get the small ring seals (44-43-483) and the large ring seals (41-61-162), plus fuel-safe teflon plumbers' tape.

ND can you tell rob lay the admin to delete this "sticky" in the 348/355 section http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125444

and put this thread (348 parts sourcing, interchange) in instead as a sticky? It has way more important information and you can probably tell rob in technical terms how that needs to be done.

I dont think I have mentioned this to you guys. But my 348 has a fibreglass front hood/bonnet. I noticed it a few months ago when I was getting the A/C charged up. Somewhere along the line it was replaced. Not sure where they are available from. Suprised me anyways. Not sure why it was replaced? Accident......who knows?
