I've not seen it in person. it pops up in my email feed every once in a while. started somewhere in the 70's months ago, he's just dropping the price over and over. another f-chat member talked to him, and said it sounded clean, it was just too much money (60s)...at the time.

They made lots of cars into convertibles but I think this is th e one and only 348 they did. Personally with the availability of the Ferrari built spiders later on I think this is a negative against the car.

Of course, I mean 348s. Straman did many other cars. I was referring to how many 348s they possibly did.

I like those wheels, and I'd like them better if the centers were anodized gold. Modulars wheels with exposed fasteners. Very Nineties, very cool.

Gold would be interesting. But I think those Speedlines look best on the Mondial (they were dealer optioned in Europe).

A nice black on black '91ts, over 40K miles and with tasteful mods, just sold on BaT for $59K. In fact, every 348 since last August sold for over $50K. I think that's significant.

About time guys. The word is out these cars are underappreciated and underpriced, but things are a-changin'!

Better highly appreciated and fairly priced. Fair is the question.. There are a pair of Red 348 Spiders at ***************** at $100k not sure its quite there yet. I will be putting mine up for sale soon after 9 great years. Trying to find a price. I know, the classified section is where to post but not quite ready.

Just recently had a street drive-by offer from a local stealer for $40K on my 348ts as I was warming up for a drive. He wanted to resell overseas and gulp the existing equity. Just say no. I see nothing but equity galore in the beauty 348.

40??? Seesh, does that ever work for those type of people? A similar thing happened to me a few months ago but at least he offered $55k. Thanks, but no thanks. I'm having too much fun with the car.

Don't forget, these were $25-30K cars just six years ago. This burgeoning interest and value in 348s is reminiscent of air-cooled Porsches from about 10 years ago when the run-up in values started.

I'm not a P-bug guy but I have a fair amount of experience with various 911s, especially the later air cooled and early water cooled cars. The 348 is much more exciting than the naturally aspirated versions of those 911s, and yet 348s often sell for less. As far as bang for your buck goes, the 348 is still a smokin' bargain.

I regret not buying one sooner. I’ve only had it a few weeks, but the car feels good, sounds good, and looks good. Furthermore, it is a joy to work on.

If I was offered $10-15k more than what I just paid for it, I would have a though time letting her go......it’s that good and unique of a car.
